Hmm... I opened this thread half an hour ago for the first time and my head now hurts. I don't understand half of what's going on, and would like if someone could sum it up for me.

Basically Sean has vanished from WP since B9 confirmed that he should have the funds to arrange his trip now. Sean stated he was in the process of moving, but others have shown(and as i have noticed) that he has visited his networking sites and WP. At least up till the 2nd of September and this recent discussion started before that.

That's what y'all are basing this scam theory on? That he said he was moving... then isn't completely gone?

That seems pretty flimsy to me. Is there some harder evidence? Because, last I checked you don't always lose internet completely during a move.

The thread is littered with evidence, some rubbish and lies about a camping trip, saying different things then contradicting himself, and his strange tendancy to avoid this thread when he has access to the internet.

He has been on facebook and myspace. If he has time for those, he should have time to update this thread.

I see. I can't say much about the lies, but I don't see avoiding this thread as evidence. I would avoid a thread someone started to donate money to me.

IDK... mainly I just want to know if I should take him off my FB and myspace.

This is my last comment on this thread, but don't forget that Myspace and Facebook is easier to access on mobile phones; while wrongplanet on mobile is another story.

Why?

I have been on here on my husband's cell phone. But never made a post because I don't like texting and browsing online because of the layouts.

Oh I see. Maybe he didn't want to post here on his phone because of the layout.

His recent FB entries were not done on Mobile. FB indicates what posts are done from mobiles.

i read all 45 pages (at the time) yesterday. Seanmw didn't ever provide any evidence that his GF was actually sick, he changed his story about what she was sick with, he appears to have blatantly lied about not having internet access at certain times, he didn't ever book plane tickets to visit his girlfriend, etc.... there are many many many inconsistencies in his statements.

and just when enough money was raised for him to actually travel... he disappeared off WP - the only place where the donors could reach him, as his previously-public myspace also suddenly became closed to non-friends. at the same time he also he stopped posting on the fundraising blog, and didn't make any mention of his sick girlfriend on FB.

True, but he's never on long and doesn't reply to them. This tells me he may be doing them fast on a computer that's not his or not available much.

He was definitely signed into a PC from what I can see.

I see. All of which probably could be explained, but I can see why some could get suspicious.

We'll just have to see, and in the meantime, I will be watching for him.

BTW... his myspace says he last logged in yesterday.

Just wanted to let you know that you did get scammed:

YahooSean1

YahooSean2

Note the date that he asks about the cost of stomach tumor surgery - August 5. Her surgery was supposed to have already happened on July 29.

He checks his email on Aug.18, while on his "fishing trip." I'd say he did quite well.

Also, note that he "updated" his personal information right at the same time that ouinon noticed that he was online elsewhere, Sept. 2.

I knew something was up when he made mention of the operation costing $2-4,000, and I made a long post about it, but withdrew the post shortly thereafter.

I've made screenshots in case he alters anything. Please feel free to share this data with DW_a_mom or Alex.

P.S. If you would like to help needy people out, there is an upright organization, Modest Needs. I've worked with them (for me, rent) and I know of a WP member who got new glasses through them. They are wonderful for people who need a small lift up. Don't let this sour you on charity, please.
