I was just wondering if anyone else shares this trait of extreme emotions on anniversaires? For me, these are even harder on numbers divisible by 5. The long story can be found at http://lifeontheothersideofthewall.blog ... later.html but the short story is this:

I met a girl (I know, as I was told by my college comp 101 teacher that, "no one cares or wants to read relationship stories". I never listened to that advice:) and over time had a relationship, of sorts, with her, but when I was seeking some sort of emotional response from her I ended up breaking up with her on Christmas via text message (I know, you don't have to tell me that is harsh).

Today marks 10 years since I first met her and all the emotions of the entire relationship, and that Christmas, are being felt as if it were the day it happened.

I find it helps if the next time the anniversary date rolls round, you do something more memorable. It kind of 'overrides' the previous emotional response.
