I've applied to 1,500 jobs these past 3 months and now don't even have money for food. It's terrible.
I contacted a temp agency today and was told temp agencies aren't always the best option because employers pay money when they hire on someone.
I've changed up my resume many times, spruced up my cover letter, and manged to get ONE business suit.
I do the shaking hands thing, I smile, I ask questions afterwards like "Whats the best part of working for this company", but either don't get a second interview or don't get hired. If I mention that I'm going hungry it just makes the employer uncomfortable, but what can you do when all you are thinking about is your survival? It's made me a cynic.
I have two college degrees. I thought maybe I deserved better, but reality may have just hit me in the head. PErhaps I may well not deserve, well, anything.
Who can really know, though? Anyone have some tips for this particular situation, even there there are other threads here regarding job hunting.
