Others would say I am interested in details, I would say I am interested in big-pictures. The details just help the picture.

I honestly have no idea. I've seen this question in online autism tests before, and I have no idea how to really answer it.

I have this same problem too; I´m one way in one situation, but another way in another situation. I tend to put down that I´m a "detail" person, because so many other people comment on the fact that I have a knack for focusing on details. I think looking at the "big picture"- in the instances when I do that- has been something I´ve learned to do through the years. I´m pretty sure that when I was a child I tended to lose the big picture and get overwhelmed by details, so I think that´s how I am in my "natural" state. When in doubt, go back to your childhood, before you learned otherwise, and see how you were then.

I had to put a lot of thought into this.

I strive to be a big picture thinker, but I often obsess over details of the picture while ignoring other important details.

To me everything makes sense when I'm focusing on a big picture but its so easy to fixate on one little thing and get completely lost.

So ideally, I'm a big picture thinker, unfortunately I tend to be non-productive detail thinker.
