Are there any correlations between Asperger's Syndrome and/or the Myers-Briggs and Enneagram personality typing systems (and if so, could other people just be taking a personality type and labeling it as a "disease")?

I come out as an INTP on the Myers-Briggs (though many people see me as an INTJ) and a Social 5w6 on the Enneagram.

Here is a link to a bunch of tests that seem related to Aspergers:
http://www.xmission.com/~winter/ubb/ult ... 7/139.html , not sure about the Enneagram Personality but I think I saw another thread somewhere on here about the Myers-Briggs one, I don't think either are directly correlational to Aspergers though but the results are interesting. If I find the link to the thread on here I'll post it.

Based on the other thread, most people with Asperger's Syndrome seem to score relatively highly in the I and T dimensions of the MBTI.

On the MBTI, most aspies score INTP or INTJ, but I scored INFP (borderline between F and T as well as between P and J though).

The most adult me is definately an Enneagram Five and probably INTP, both of which to me seem to be on the (or a) border between normal and autistic; I think Aspies would also be more likely to be Fourish ("I'm different, and I'm always oscillating between being proud of it and being ashamed of it" - and don't forget "I like you better when you're not here") or Oneish ("Things have to be done This Way, because it's the Right Way"). I also know autistic Sixes (both the "at your service" type and the "I'm older than you, so what authority do you have to boss me around?" type) and Nines.

If there is, I think most people will fall under IxTx than any other combination. Though the few I met on a psych bored, who were all aspies btw, turned out a completely different type after looking into the theory further. I am under the impression that aspergers syndrome skews your MBTI score (mostly on the introversion questions), and your results remain skewed until you rectify it by deducting each type and comparing each function. One of the aspies ended up with ENTJ, as opposed to INTP, actually..... :o

According to the tests, I am an INTJ which sometimes scores as ISTJ and a Five which sometimes scores as One. Don't know whether I feel like I belong because of these results or like a pathetic, self-pitying textbook case.

My Enneagram type is 4w5 - The Bohemian. I read on one site that it's the same type as Johnny Depp, which makes me happy. I'm really surprised that Tim Burton isn't a 4w5. He's actually a 5w4 - The Iconoclast.

I am enneatype 5 and INTP. I think there may be a pattern emerging... Although I have met 5s who are definitely not Aspies...

Yes, but there's a significant minority of IxFx.

I'm Enneagram Type 4, and really relate to the overall description. Technically, since I have more "5" answers than "3" answers, I would be 4w5. However, I don't really think that the description of the 4w5 relates to me, so I think I'm just a 4 without a pronounced wing.

My MBTI type wavers between ISFP and INFP depending on the test.

I'm not sure if I have AS, but wanted to add my personality type. I've always liked the Enneagram and have showed it to friends and family. Not once have I met another Type 4.

My dad, who I believe to have AS, is Enneagram Type 5.

MBTI: INFP, sometimes typed as INFJ.
Enneagram: Type Four (I generally don't get along well with Type Three and Type Six people.)

There are 4 autistic and 2 borderline people in my family. Our types are (sorted by age):

ISTJ -aspie
ISFJ -borderline
INTP -aspie
INTP -borderline
INTP -autistic
INFP -autistic

The weird thing is all the women who married into the family are NT and have ESXX, somehow that didn't mix in too well.
