I see that Demon Milk is on many lists. I am also allergic to citrus fruit, unfortunately, since I have a prolific tangerine tree in my yard, and I like the idea of stepping out the door and picking a snack off the tree. I can tolerate, but don't like most vegetables or any seafood.

Apart from an enforced blandness of diet, food allergies are particularly problematic for people on the spectrum because so much human social interaction involves food. Not being able to eat anything on the buffet table is just one more reason to avoid the party.

I have found that if I am scrupulous about avoiding allergens when in control of food preparation, I can occasionally take a food allergy vacation without ill effects. Also, I notice that some effects lessen with age, so I'm wondering if hormones play a part.

I can eat anything because I don't have those sensory issues nor any stomach issues or food allergies. Maybe not anything because there are some things that are too rich for me so I get sick and end up throwing up later in the day. Sea food is the worse but I can eat fish or salmon. But if the restaurant puts something on it that is too rich, I get sick. Maybe that is why I got sick from having sea food because of what they put on it and after having it happen twice, I decided it wasn't a coincidence I got sick so I decided to never have sea food again because I am afraid to get sick. But I will have fish or salmon since I have always had it.

I don't eat lot of sweets. I want to eat healthy so I cut back on sweets.

There are foods out there I choose to not eat.

Cooked Onions, Mushrooms, Squash, stuff like that ... I can't do it. I vomit if I even try.

For the last 9 and a half years I suffered from Ulcerative Colitis, until I had a proctolectomy with a j-pouch.
For awhile lots of foods bothered me. Then about 4 months before my surgery the only thing I could tolerate was liquid stuff (mostly Ensures because I couldn't get nutrients any other way.)
Now I'm 5 months out from my surgery and I can eat anything again.

@OP, it sounds like you may have Celiac Disease. One of my coworkers went to the same GI doctor I go to and the doctor never ran blood tests for Celiac because they may show up as negative. He always does a endoscopy (camera down the throat but your asleep so you don't remember it) to find that out.

Also HFCS is not good for anyone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBnniua6-oM
Good video if you have about an hour and thirty minutes to watch. Basically talks about how HFCS and sucrose are broken down by the liver.

Can't do the following without w/o a bad reaction:

wheat

corn (including corn syrup which is in virtually everything)

...and just about anything I eat for too long without a break, which has included so many things I couldn't list them all.

These days I do a "rotation diet" where I don't eat the same (or too closely related a) food without a 3 day break in between. It's boring, but at one point it was getting to where I couldn't eat anything without ending up so sedated I'd be nodding off face-first into my work (soldering) -- despite endless coffee and/or Adderal. For a "minor" problem like a food reaction, it was really horrible.

I'm not a fan of a lot of alternative health stuff, but I think this is one area where modern medicine is lacking. (Modern medicine is great for things that can kill you, but if the problem is not life threatening it seems not as great. ) I.e. I've heard of "food sensitivities" that don't how up on standard allergy tests. The only thing I found that helps it is the rotation diet (3 days in between eating a particular thing), and "pantethine" (basically a "metabolized" form of B-5/pantothenic acid).

Oh, and you probably already did, but if not check into gluten intolerance (celiac disease) and casien intolerance.

How you described your bodys reaction to different foods sounds a lot like my own. And that included when I was on adderall, my very limited diet would have to become even more limited. I have looked into glutein intolerance but it seems unlikely because oatmeal works good for me...no reaction nomatter what kind of oatmeal- it seems to help. Everyone seems to think oatmeal is most likely contaminated with glutein..I am currently eating quaker oats and before that it was kirkland organic oats.

I have not researched casien intolerance...I will check that out.

Was wondering if you could elaborate more on your diet? What exactly do you eat?

I cannot habdle the texture of many many foods,
I hate:
anything slimy
anything crunchy
milk
yogurt
onions
allergic to peanuts and shellfish

If it were healthy I would eat hot dogs and mac and cheese every meal

O and I can eat lots of pizza...so it seems like that would rule out casein intolerance

Though it makes me a bit sleepy..but I think if you eat alot of anything it would make you sleepy becase all the blood is rushing to your stomache.

I'm a gastric adventurer, I'll eat anything the spicier, the better.. Watching Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern makes me hungry! One exception, I don't care for amaretto, I'll eat things with amaretto, but it's not one of my favorites..

Jello. It just comes right back up becuase the texture is so revolting. I was in a jello eating contest at a birthday party I won but everyone thought I was just spitting it out but it was really just coming right back up.

Eggs. The smell, taste and texture is repulsive. I would starve to death if that's all there was to eat.

Octopus. How could I eat an such a cute animal that I love so much? It would be like eating a dog to me.

Goat. Same reason for octopus

Pork. It has a repulsive texture.

Grapes. Meerkats can't have them because it can make their livers shut down and like to think I am a meerkat.

A lot of things. Most things, really. I can't go out to a restaurant anymore unless it's a special organic and gluten-free joint. I'm in the awkward position of "almost" having Crohns. LOL.

I can't have:
Wheat
Gluten
Lactose
High-Fructose Corn Syrup
Pizza
Soda
Tomatoes
etc.

In case you do not know, I find that sort of attitude a form of bullying. Even if you meant it to be humorus, I find it as bullying.

I have Type-II diabetes so I shouldn't eat things with a lot of sugar or carbs. I definitely eat more than I should. I just don't care.

Sorry.
I didn't not fully read your post and therefore was not fully with what was being said. Jumping around from tast to task, post to post and then sending silly replies is not a good idea. I apologise.

Eggs [unless totally dried out], mayonnaise. The list I STRONGLY prefer NOT to eat is much longer.
