I wonder why he didn't explain why he prefers "developmental delay"?

He's writing a official Dx for SSI. he does this all the time. My mom thinks she also heard him say I had PDD along with asperger's. she's going to call him and see.

Asperger's would be a PDD.

Huh. You should have been diagnosed with PDD-NOS if you had a developmental delay. That rules out Asperger's.

He only calls it a developmental delay.his personal name for asperger's. he is qualified to make diagnoses though. But I do not have a delay, I tested above average intelligence.

my mom explained it with a visual example.

She got a pair of blue socks. and showed me the first one and says.
This sock is Asperger's , and then she puts it down.

then got the 2nd sock and says..This sock is you. I am not going to call it asperger's I am going to call it something else, but it's the same thing.

she then put the sock on top of the other one. then picked up both socks and asked me... What color is the first one. I was like Blue.. then asked what about the second one...I of course said blue... she said They are the same... but I am calling the 2nd one by a different name.. but you know both are the same even I call them by different names.

Heh :) OK, that makes sense; he's doing it for the purposes of getting the services you need. That happens all the time; don't worry about it.

You should have told her this is my hand I could use to make a fist or to simply extend my middle finger (Giving her the bird) then walk out and find another doctor. The doctor sounds like it going to screw you out of your ssi. She should just come out say she is going to sandbag you so you could not declare yourself disabled to get the help you need.

You just had to get a weird psychologist. He sounds confusing and frustrating. Sorry!
