Hello everyone, I hope you're all well =)

I just wanted to share a link to a documentary I made about a woman with Asperger's Syndrom who uses her teddybear Bearsac in a very interesting way to combat her condition.
The film profiles Debra and explores the attitudes of people towards anyone seen as 'different'.

We're all really proud of it, it got the highest mark in your graduating year at the Westminster Filmschool and was a finalist for the Best Factual Award at the Royal Television Society Student Television Awards 2009.

It's available now on YouTube now so please have a look, and if you like the film please Like it, add to favorites and share the film wherever you like =)

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the film!

Debra and Bearsac are so cute! One reason I wish I could visit the UK is so I could meet them! I carry around my Alice doll with me when I run errands, so if I met them, she could play with Bearsac! :D

Speaking of Debra, didn't she used to be a member here? What happened to her?

Great documentary. She's really sweet and I'm surprised how friendly a lot of the people are to her, she's very brave to do that. :)

It's a bit over the top. I am not as openly different like that, but I have had encounters that ended up like the one with the old lady.

I love Debra's extroversion and her theatricality.
Whoever thinks aspies are boring people should definitely watch this film.

I still am a member but been busy the last few months and depressed the last few weeks to extent I am not coming online that much.

Every so often I Google Bearsac using the blog, week, or month filters and today I saw this so thought I'd log-in.

Might aswell paste our YouTube channel link here whilst we are here then go and check out some posts. http://www.youtube.com/user/aspiebear?feature=mhum

Take care all x x

Debra and Bearsac

It is good to see you, Debra.
Do you want to come to Autscape in August?

My God, August is a long way off, not sure what I will be up to then - might be travelling. If not doing anything and it is free or inexpensive then maybe.

Last year, it cost around £200 to attend the full Autscape. I guess it will cost about the same this year.
It is also possible to attend just one or two days of Autscape, which costs less than the full Autscape.
