Does anyone else hate having stuff in your hair. Every time I have to get my hair cut they always put 'stuff' in it. The stylist always promises it won't feel sticky. I always go straight home and take a shower to wash the sticky stuff out of my hair. Can't stand anything in my hair. Anyone else?

Nah. The hair is okay. I trust anyone who treats me- salon people, dentists, doctors, etc. But I only don't like stuff on my skin. Like cream or whatnot. I am still going through that lovely blemished face phase . . . ugh . . . so I always have to have all that crap on my face which feels really icky. Like I smeared some gross pudding on my face. Eugh.

I don't like having stuff in it, especially if it feels sticky.

I hate putting any kind of product in my hair but like hair ties & headbands. Otherwise, I avoid most hair accessories.

Most of the time, if I trust the stylist to cut it well enough... I just ask for the cut and then leave the salon with wet hair and go home and style it myself. A lot of the time, you can pay less when you don't get it styled too. I can't stand the way stylists fuss with and goop up my hair after they cut it. I feel like they're playing dress up with a doll or something. Blech! And it's always really annoying to live with even for the trip home. If I have to sit through "styling" I usually can barely stand it until I get home and do it over. And I'm the same with people messing with my face or skin too.

I'm the same way. I love my stylist, she's a close family friend, but I hate when she puts mousse or gel in my hair. I can tolerate hairspray as long as I don't touch my hair. If she wasn't my friend, I would probably cut my hair myself. That's a lot of touching for a random stranger, especially around my face.

I hate having stuff put in my hair and I'm very particular about my hair. I always ask my hairdresser not to put anything in my hair.

I'm allergic to most products, soup, lotion, hair care sold in stores; so yeah it bugs me. Not to mention the smell of most of those products is a bit irritating.

In the summer stores sell pure aloe vera (they clear kind without dye in it) to put on sunburn. This is the base ingredient in most hair gels, minus the fragrance and all the other crap they put in hair products so they can up the price. I bring a travel bottle of this pure aloe with me to the salon and have them use this, suites them, suites me. Works perfectly.

I hate putting anything in my hair which increases the frequency of which I have to wash it.
Which is pretty much everything.

I have not had a hair cut since the 90's because I can not stand to be touched by a stranger, the vibration feelings from clippers, the noise scissors make when they cut my hair and the possibility of having some kind of styling type goo put into my hair. My hair is down to the center of my back now.

Like all the cool kids in the mid-1960s, I was proud to reject Brylcreem. It was a statement of our new counter-culture. These days I'll allow a bit of Grecian just to keep the grey a little darker, but that's as far as it goes. I don't like to see glossy or greasy hair, I prefer a natural matt finish.

I can only stand the feel of freshly ironed silky, glossy, straight hair. Unfortunately, I have naturally frizzy hair. It is a nightmare and requires multiple products to make it the way I need it to be. So I do love products in my hair. It means the difference between frizzy and straight.

My hair is extremely straight and there's nothing to do with it, but I always have to tell hairdresser to put nothing in it. I think they're just used to putting gels, waxes etc. People probably like it.
I don't like hairdressers. They want to wash my hair in hot water, they touch me and they use hairdryer. I always protest. I know that sometimes I have to stand it all. But I never do it at home. I love my hair, it's beautiful and I care about it. Black, straight and glossy hair (mean people: wiiiig!) is my distinguish mark.

I would rather not, but I have to... My hair is super-ultra fine, frizzy & curly, and I look like a bombing victim if it's not weighed down with a ton of goo.

I've never had that problem. Maybe because I tell them if they don't cut it extactaly how I say, I will not pay.
