To clarify: This is not about being ambidextrous. I write with my right hand, but have to cradle the writing 'thumb-finger unit' with the thumb and two fingers off my left hand.

Does anybody else do this? It doesn't seem very common. Everytime I try a google search, I just come up with page after page about ambidextrousness which is not the same thing.

I've never been able to write consistently with a single hand, and doing so usually damages the joint because of the enormous pressure I have to exert to control the pen and prevent the tremor/poor control.

No I just live with my bad handwriting. That's an interesting method though. Do you have dyspraxia?

It's a fun challenge I like to take up when I'm bored but I'm still more of a righty.

I don't know. I've never been tested. I'd suspect dysgraphia at least. What's the reason for your bad handwriting?

Writing with two hands makes my handwriting legible. It wasn't something I consciously started doing, I've been doing it ever since I can remember.
