This is a bad choice to show. A better video on the same page is the one "My Crazy Life" part 1, 2, 3.

In some ways it is a good thing to be surrounded by NTs all your life because it does help you learn how to get on in the world without sending out the vibe. It doesn't mean it also doesn't increase the torture. I have had to learn to act different than how I feel because the world rejects me.

I was also talking about sort of... like majority views of 'ret*d' and why they're as wrong as the way the world views us. Like the thing the psychologist was saying to her about being gifted and having a lot to offer the world, I wanted to mention that 'ret*d' people also have a lot to offer the world, so even if the view of us was right, it wouldn't be so horrible either except for in how people treat us. (That's why I was sort of responding to little comments here and there throughout the thread, as well as comments I've heard in real life, some of which have been much more condemning than anything I saw in this thread. I don't want to give the impression that I thought any given person was saying all this, I just thought it needed saying in this kind of context in case anyone was forgetting it.) So please don't take it as me thinking you were saying any particular thing, I was just sort of outlining the different issues around how 'ret*d' people are viewed which can be just as damaging as how autistic people are viewed. Sometimes in discussions like this some people otherwise take away the idea that if we were really 'ret*d' then it would be okay, how people view/treat us.

As for scary... I hate to think how I scare parents.

Ah, I see. Yes, that makes sense. I think society is quite crap in general, with regard to people they consider weaker than themselves.

The only guy who really stood out to me as really "out there" and clueless socially was the new guy. Maybe I'm missing something?
After I watched this video, I decided to watch an old video clip of myself from a couple of years ago. I'm not sure I'm any less weird and awkward than the other members. 8O Hmmm, no wonder I don't make many friends.
