These are some pretty annoying sounds.

the vacuum!
lawn mowers, and other maintenance equipment
car doors slamming
the rustling of potato chip and other snack bags when you're trying to watch a movie
dogs barking loudly
a gathering of others talking and laughing extremely ( to you) loudly
car engines starting and pulling up close to your window
twangy country music
construction work being done outside
the ring of the lights on the ceiling

People blasting their car stereos through my neighborhood
Dogs barking
The overhead PA at any store (PRICE CHECK ON AISLE 7!! !! !! !!)
Ceiling fans that rattle

Sounds that are the opposite w/ me...

Running water
My wife blowdrying her hair
My box fan turned on high setting while I sleep
Vacuum cleaners (not all makes/models)

It has been suggested that some of these sounds may resemble the "whooshing" sounds heard in the womb.

Modified car exhausts (AKA the Fart Can)

Leaf blowers

Vacuum cleaners

Loud obnoxious TV commercials

Footsteps upstairs

Human voices and laughter late at night

Car alarms

Beeping (think fast food joints)

Domestic car engines revving up (Why do American cars sound like they run like s**t, and Japanese cars purr like kittens?)

1] The bi-weekly recycling truck which comes into my street just after 7am and decides to empty its glass bin right at my bedroom window.
2] The fishmonger at 9am who parks his van at my bedroom window and blasts his horn to let my neighbour know he is there.
3] Slamming doors.
4] Whistling.

Only a couple sounds get on my nerves. At least that I can think of right now, I am sure there are a lot more.

Lawn Mowers

High Pitched buzzing that older tube tv's make

Pulling open a envelope or pulling tape off a card board box. That one makes my nose crinkle for some reason.

Something I can't stand the feel of is sand paper

and I don't know if anyone here has ever used one of those mr clean magic erasers, but those things feel so annoying on your fingers.. worse then sand paper!!

Well I find a lot of what was already listed quite annoying.....but I really hate the sound of people chewing. And usually I don't notice but sometimes i seem to zone in on just random sounds going on in peoples mouths and it tends to make me cringe. lol

-The neighbour's dog barking (he has a really high pitched bark and barks A LOT)

-People arguing

-The sound of certain words

-The sound of dishes crashing on the floor

-The noise of the dentist scraping your teeth with that metal scraper thing

-People dropping bottles

In addition to nearly everything already mentioned...

-The sound of my computer accessing the hard drive. Seriously, it drives me nuts, and I've already maxed out the RAM to try and prevent it.

I also don't like vaccums. I wear ear plugs and I aslo get warnings before they start so I put them in. It can make me angry. I don't understand how babies suppesedly fall asleep with the noise.

I got my teeth cleaned today and I hate the high pitched buzzing sounds. I wish I could wear plugs but at least they give me dark sunglasses to wear. I wonder if anyone else closes their eyes while at the dentist. I've had problems with going to the dentist.

There's other noises I don't like.

I actually like the sound of american cars that go "glugg. glug glugg..". I don't like all the gas they use though.

the sound of sports really gets on my nerves- the insipid announcements, the babbling and screaming crowds, the boos and such
the squeeking and clattering of rattletrap jalopies [worn-out cars]
squeeks and rattles in any case, in any place
the sound of people having loud and abundant sex through the walls and from open windows, but only when i'm trying to sleep
rap music
screaming kids
screaming adults
out-of-tune musical instruments relative to one another
"one note" bass in much urban contemporary music, further augmented by "boom-de-boomboom" sound systems with prominent mid-bass response
gunfire and fireworks
video games
chain saws and motorcycles with yammering 2-stroke engines
lawn mowers when i'm trying to get some sleep
noisy power supplies in computers and cheap outdoor floodlights
powerboats screaming on the nearby lake
phonographic disc [surface] noises such as crackles/pops/hisses/rumbles/groove roar
the cacaphony from being inside of a big-box electronics store such as best buy or future shop

- the sound of a blender running
- when someone adjusts the sound on the car radio so the bass is really high
- really loud cars and motorcycles
- any sound that interrupts the viewing of a tv show or movie
- way too loud music in a clothing store in the mall
- the sounds in a crowded mall in general
- other people tapping their fingers or chewing/crunching loudly
- certain people's voices (when they're just talking normally)

along with quite a few of the sounds listed by everyone else.
