introverted: prefer to stay home almost all social interaction is painful
I feel both ways ... sometimes wish it was different and sometimes ok with me
Loads of obsessions/interests (I love most of them except some paranoid ones..food fears, sickness/health fears)
I find it awkward to let anyone know how I feel...keep it all a secret

Introvert (INTx - maybe INTJ - in Myers-Briggs) - solidly introvert, but "extreme"? I've seen even more introverted people than me.

Nope. I am happy being what I am, now that I know that's what I am.

A number of obsessions - some short-lived, some-lifelong, and some in-between.

Awkward. Partly because I don't always know what I am feeling.

The "me" type. I don't know, what types are there? I know ... "Introverted, Proud, Obsessed, Awkard" ... I'm an IPOA!

Are you an extremely introverted aspie or do you prefer to go out and socialise (as best you can )? Introverted.

Are you the one that wishes he/she never had AS? Or are you proud of it? I never wanted to do "normal" things but I wanted to want to because I thought it would be easier. I'm relieved now that I have a name to call it but I'm not proud of it.

Are you the aspie with loads of obesessions? Or does nothing seem to capture your attention? I have some interests I have maintained for years and others that have come and gone.

Are you the one that finds it awkward to exspress themselves? Or can you feel best when everyone knows what your feeling? I don't think I actually want people to know what I'm feeling. If I do try they don't understand it anyway.

So by the by please say What Type Of Aspie Are You!? I don't know what types there are. I do know I dislike the term "aspie". To me it trivialises what can be a very difficult existence.

- Are you an extremely introverted aspie or do you prefer to go out and socialise (as best you can Smile )?

I'm definitely introverted, but I don't hate socializing too much, at least when there's clear purpose. Like if I'm supposed to go to a wedding or birthday party, I act OK.

- Are you the one that wishes he/she never had AS? Or are you proud of it?

I'm OK with it. I like myself most of the time. I wish other people can like me, too, but if they don't, well it's not like I really care.

- Are you the aspie with loads of obesessions? Or does nothing seem to capture your attention?

I'm pretty fickle with my interests. They change all the time. Although there are a few things I stuck with long enough to get pretty good at them.

- Are you the one that finds it awkward to exspress themselves? Or can you feel best when everyone knows what your feeling?

I have no problem expressing myself, as long as it's nothing to do with feelings or emotions, then I don't know what to say. I'm reasonably well trained in speech, but it doesn't work when I don't even know how I feel.

Introverted and Extroverted. Slowly moving towards the later with time and understanding.

Are you the one that wishes he/she never had AS? Or are you proud of it?
I wish I wasn't. I'm proud of it in some ways, but what should I do?

Are you the aspie with loads of obesessions? Or does nothing seem to capture your attention?
I have several. They last for different time.

Are you the one that finds it awkward to exspress themselves? Or can you feel best when everyone knows what your feeling?
Yes. No. I don't expect this later anyway.

So by the by please say What Type Of Aspie Are You!? :P
Good. I don't take questions literally.

]Are you an extremely introverted aspie or do you prefer to go out and socialise (as best you can )?
I am introverted. I like talking to people but at my conditions (= interesting topics and 1-2 people a time); I have no kind of interest in huge gatherings and small talk.

Are you the one that wishes he/she never had AS? Or are you proud of it?
Somehow proud; or at least, I wouldn't ever want to be someone else, I want to be accepted as I am.

Are you the aspie with loads of obesessions? Or does nothing seem to capture your attention?
I have my good deal of obsessions, but I change them from time to time; anyway I accept to talk about other topics as long as they make sense (I usually like when people talk about their interests even if they are not the same as mine, since it is still a script I can follow and there is no phatic communication involved).

Are you the one that finds it awkward to exspress themselves? Or can you feel best when everyone knows what your feeling?
I need to explain-explain-explain. I am quite articulate but I tend to be too pedantic and NTs don't appreciate it. Then if I talk about my feelings in person I tend to have strange reactions such as trembling and stopping breathing, but still I try to do it because I want to make things clear.

I am very introverted. I do enjoy talking to people sometimes, but even at its best socializing is draining.

I don't wish I'd been born NT. I'd be a completely different person. And if I'd been NT all along I would take my social and sensory abilities for granted, so I doubt I'd be any happier.

I usually have some obsession or another, but it changes. There are often gaps between special interests.

I want to explain what I'm feeling to people so they'll understand me better, but I sometimes do so in an awkward way.

It depends, but, more and more, I dispense with smalltalk exept with close friends. I socialize, but I do it on my own terms.

I am glad to be autistic like I am glad to have luminous, green, starburst eyes. I like the characteristics, but I cannot take pride in what I did not cause.

I have other, smaller special interests, but tuba is the big one. I love it even though it eats my life.

I sometimes want to explain, but experience has made me cautious about sharing what I feel.

Are you an extremely introverted aspie or do you prefer to go out and socialise (as best you can )?

Introverted. Misanthropic. No interest in other people whatsoever beyond whomever I'm dating. I make an effort with my parents as well.

Are you the one that wishes he/she never had AS? Or are you proud of it?

It's been a deficit but I don't have enough information to say if I would change. I generally don't like other people and wouldnt want to be like them.

Are you the aspie with loads of obesessions? Or does nothing seem to capture your attention?

Tons of them. Always something.

Are you the one that finds it awkward to exspress themselves? Or can you feel best when everyone knows what your feeling?

I have no problem intellectually dissecting my behavior but discussing my emotions would be very rare. Having people know anything personal about me is vaguely disturbing.

Are you an extremely introverted aspie or do you prefer to go out and socialise (as best you can) -
I do not really enjoy "going out" to socialize; I would say I'm introverted but I can enjoy socializing one to one with people I am comfortable with and I can enjoy going to group situations once I have gotten to know people within the group and feel comfortable with them; I do find that I need a fair amount of down time after a lot of socializing, as someone else said, it is draining.

Are you the one that wishes he/she never had AS? Or are you proud of it?
As others have said, I can't be proud of something I had no control over having; I do not wish I never had it though, I really enjoy so many of my AS "quirks" and I do not feel that I could be who I am if the AS was not a part of me

Are you the aspie with loads of obesessions? Or does nothing seem to capture your attention?
I have had and continue to have special interests but not loads at the same time, one or two at a time is all I can handle with everything else going on in my life.l

Are you the one that finds it awkward to exspress themselves? Or can you feel best when everyone knows what your feeling?
I find it very hard to express my emotions or feelings to others; sometimes I have a hard time expressing them to myself; i.e. figuring out what it is I am feeling :)

Are you an extremely introverted aspie or do you prefer to go out and socialise (as best you can )?

Extremely introverted. I hate being around people I don't know, and I hate it when I have to talk about things I don't care about. I try my best to avoid such situations whenever possible. That being said, I do enjoy talking to people I'm comfortable being around occasionally, but for the most part I just like to be by myself.

Are you the one that wishes he/she never had AS? Or are you proud of it?

I just found out about AS 3 days ago. I always knew that I see things differently, and that I am proud of. But AS? I can hardly believe that I have found something that does fit my brain and personality. Its really shocking, I have no idea what to think of it. I guess I like how it makes me feel like I belong somewhere, but I don't like the idea that I have a "disability."

Are you the aspie with loads of obesessions? Or does nothing seem to capture your attention?

When I was a little kid (preschool) I used to be obsessed with trains. Specifically I would watch the wheels move, as if I wanted to understand how it worked. Then around school age I started to get into racing, specifically NASCAR. When I was in the 4-5th grade I started to become interested in airplanes - specifically military airplanes, which led to my interest in military equipment and tactics in general. Then I got a Star Wars game for Christmas - specifically Battlefront, and I really started getting into that. Now I'm mostly interested in computer stuff. Over the past few years I've completely rebuilt my entire computer from the ground up, and I've built my sister a new computer too. I have also started to become interested in the complex integrated circuits on the motherboard. I don't know any programming languages yet, and have never written any computer program, but I will one day. I also find the technology and mechanics behind cars to be interesting, and I have always been interested in physics. I love physics.

Are you the one that finds it awkward to exspress themselves? Or can you feel best when everyone knows what your feeling?

Every time I try to explain how I feel always ends up in a disaster. People always mess with my words and make it sound like something completely different. Usually, I don't even bother anymore. It generally goes like this:

Mom: hi, how was your day at school today?
Me: Usual
Mom: Was it really that bad?
Me: Just average
Mom: What did they say? Do I need to talk to the principal?
Me: Everything is fine, no need for that
Mom: It's alright, you can tell me
Me: Where is my tea? I'm thirsty
Mom: Why are you being so mean to me? I'm trying to help you
Mom: I do all sorts of stuff for you and you treat me like crap
Me: Just leave me alone and let me do my homework
Mom: You hate me, don't you? You treat me just like my mother
I could go on more, but I think you get the idea. She just doesn't get it.

Are you an extremely introverted aspie or do you prefer to go out and socialise (as best you can :) )?

Introverted, but can appear to be social when I wanna be.

Are you the one that wishes he/she never had AS? Or are you proud of it?

I don't mind having it. Worst thing about it is my body's sensitivity issues.

Are you the aspie with loads of obesessions? Or does nothing seem to capture your attention?

I usually get very obsessed with something, for a short time, then move on quickly.

Are you the one that finds it awkward to exspress themselves? Or can you feel best when everyone knows what your feeling?

A combination of both.

So by the by please say What Type Of Aspie Are You!? :P

Are you an extremely introverted aspie or do you prefer to go out and socialise (as best you can)?

Very introverted, what little interest I've had in socializing has been eroded by years and years of failed attempts.

Are you the one that wishes he/she never had AS? Or are you proud of it?

I guess I'm "ok" with it, it's not something I overly proud of, but I don't know that I'd what to taken away either.

Are you the aspie with loads of obesessions? Or does nothing seem to capture your attention?

I have a couple of deep, long lasting obsessions that I've had as long as I can remember, I also usually have 1-2 short-lived interests that last anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks.

Are you the one that finds it awkward to exspress themselves? Or can you feel best when everyone knows what your feeling?

I'm very awkward when it comes to expressing myself verbally, to the point that I've almost become mute... I rarely talk to anyone outside of my family.

Introverted (but tries to socialise)

Neither. I don't know if I have it officially, but either way it's not something I hate or feel proud of. It's just the way I am (and I'm fine with it).

Loads of obsessions.

Mostly awkward, but I shift between the two depending who I'm with.
