So after replying to this threadCompulsive Eating. I thought what the spoons to see if I can get advice on my eating habits. Because it drives me bananas. It really does.

So my cycle goes like this:

For months or even just a few weeks

-I find an obsession

-Obsession becomes my project

-Don't like leaving projects open ended, so I'll basically work on my project all day

-While doing this I tend to forget to eat, and have one meal a day for those months or weeks

Then I finish the project, with nothing to do I go back to my old obsession, but accompanied with

-Eating more than I usually do

-Boredom, seeking new project

Personally, I think its the lack of food. That I have food debt. Kind of like when we have a sleept debt, you can only stay up and sleep less for a certain period until you sleep for like hours on end.

Same thing here. Because I am not eating a lot on the times I forget to eat, I overeat afterwards.

What I really want to know is how can I make sure this doesn't happen. I want to be able to eat normally and not have to go through the back and forth. Mind you I'm not worried about weight either, I am the perfect size for me.

What I really want is that I don't forget to eat and that I don't overeat because of it.

I can't eat breakfast. Trust me I have tried several times to no avail, I always throw it back up. Breakfast just makes me sick sick sick. I sometimes try to drink something for breakfast maybe.

Does anyone else have any advice?

Maybe a reason into why I am this way.

I log my eats in sparkpeople.com every single day just because I do exactly like this and end up either over or under eating all the time otherwise.

I tend to get busy keeping everything the way i want it and realize i haven"t sat down to eat then i overeat at night and not the right foods. I just wanted to post to you because i could relate in some way and i wish i could figure out how to balance my diet and exercise and not eat the wrong foods in a large amount. I think i hate the feeling of hunger and no matter what i try i always end up hungry.

I often do forget to eat and sleep, usually when I am in the middle of a big project. Kfisherx's advice has worked well for me. If I do not keep a meal log, or make sure I get at least 6 hours of sleep I crash and burn at the end of whatever project I am on. I have never tried sparkpeople.com; I do my meal log with pen and paper. If you can find a program that lets you log your meals, and gives you a nutrition breakdown that would ideal. Well thats my 2 cents :) good luck :D

Sparkpeople works on my iphone so makes it even better. It takes a few extra minutes each day but sleep and eat are essential to good health so worth the time.

Does it work if you don't have an Iphone?

Schedule your meals and set an alarm. If you have to, fix up three meals the night before you go to bed and just take out the food and eat it. Put the alarm next to the refrigerator so you are forced to go there to shut it off, and at that point you should be able to get to the food and eat it without too much trouble.

It might be useful to figure out your calorie requirements and check the labels on the foods you prepare to make sure there is enough food there, but not too much. If you find yourself losing or gaining weight, adjust accordingly.
