I have very early memories.
And memories of early dreams, that must have happened between1 and 2, maybe earlier.
One memory that I thought always happened I finally realized was a dream.
Another memory that I pestered my Mom about for years--she denied it--she finally admitted happened.

Noone else in my family has memories from that age.

I have heard that the rare person has memories from being in the womb.

I have very few memories of before age 4, and not great memory up to around age 6 or 7.
My earliest memory I actually only remembered recently, was about age 1-2.
About it's assosiation to autism or the autistic spectrum, I think it's plausable, but it's one of those things I just don't have.

I have heard that it is impossible to have memories from before the age of 5, But I vividly rember my 3rd birthday and many things that come after that.

Fun Fact: Studies have shown that a FETUS can rember different music tracks after birth if the songs were played often enough before birth.

I remember bits and pieces of 'highly charged' events - when I was 10-11 months old and our cat scratched my face. The moon landing - I distinctly remember sitting on the floor watching the reports. My father sitting up with me in his lap watching the Tonight Show because I just wouldn't sleep...

I don't remember anything below the age of 3. I barely remember when I was 3, except just a few short vague memories.

I have fuzzy memories of saying "two years old" when being asked how old I was.

Its odd, I have memories from when I was very young, but remembering what I did last week is very difficult. I can place memories quite well as we moved house a lot when I was young so I know how old I was.

I remember waking up in my cot, in the afternoon, and looking at the pictures on the wall of the bedroom. There was a picture of a lion, and a spider, and one of humpty dumpty. I was no more than 1.
I remember when I was 2 waking up after a nightmare having been sick in bed and my mum coming and changing my sheets while I lay on the sofa.
I remember when I was 2 watching my dad go to work.
I remember being at nursery, sitting in the sun and making a butterfly painting.
I remember watching Black Beauty on the sofa with my mum when I was no more than 3.
I remember being horrified when my mum came to pick me up from the babysitter when I was 2 or 3, and she had gone from having long straight hair to having a frizzy 70s perm.

Patchy, and more like snapshots - but certainly memories from around 18 months old and much clearer ones at 2 years old.

I can remember being potty trained at 2. I can remember riding a rocking horse at the age of 2 and a half. I can also remember going to Rhyl at the same age. I can remember having a tantrum when my sister was born also at the same age. I can remember staring at my mum's red nails and being fascinated by the way they caught the light. I can remember her cooking spaghetti and the the huge 80s perm she had.

I had no idea that this was related to autism.

A memory that has always puzzled me is one of being carried around. I've always wondered if it is a memory from when I was too young to walk.

My earliest memory is suddenly finding myself somewhere very bright and cold and someone holding me upside down and slapping my bottom and saying "It's a boy".

i also have some memories from 1.5-3 years but some people don't believe me.
But my mom says it's true and there isn't pictures of it...
I think it's because we think in pictures and you can remember before you can talk
other people who don't think in pictures can only think form 3+.
That's the theory that kept me awake last night actually xD

How strange - just the same with me at 2.5 years old.
I can still see, smell and feel the faded dark red plush of the armchair I was burying my screaming face in, and hear my Father telling me it's Ok; Mum will be back soon - she's gone to fetch your new sister.

How can anyone foget something like that? I was walking back from the hospital and kicking the puddles in the carpark and screaming. I had my yellow raincoat on and my mum's best friend was really scolding me.

My Dad was wrong though - I wasn't screaming because I was missing Mum, I was screaming because I already had a sister and that was all working fine.
I just didn't want another one because it was plain wrong and broke everything.
