Every color on that chart is white until, like, 14. Then it's suddenly tan.

Theres no "translucent" so i just chose very fair. :)

It's really interesting, but I think you'll find it difficult to find any races or regional characteristics to pin autism on. Going this way will probably lead you to the neanderthal theory.

There is no option for "Pasty White to Gray".

I just want to point out that the data from your poll is worthless. You're not polling a group of random aspies you're polling English speaking, mostly Americans and Europeans who have internet access and have some interest in a site devoted to autism spectrum disorders.

That being said, I'm a ginger.

My freckles bring all the boys to the yard.

I think I'm about a 22 on that scale, my ancestors were European, my skin color is associated with the German part of the family, not the Finnish part of the family.

I tan incredibly easily and until the past few years never burnt. In the past few years if I don't pay any attention to things like sunscreen then I burn, but never the same skin more than once in a season.

I'm not quite sure, somewhere around 17? I'm one of the darkest people in my family, and I don't burn. I'm still lighter than most people in Brazil, but I am ethnically English and Scandinavian.

I've been told that im the palest person that the person talking had ever seen on more than one occasion. Erm, i don't actually have any problems with the sun tho, i just seem to lose my tan really quickly and im always back to being pale. The last time i donated blood they made a big deal about me getting tested for anemia before i donated.

Fair to Medium-fair. I'm German and Italian, so that's where it comes from.

There's no option between tan and dark. That would be me.

I'm black and Native American but had jaundice as a kid so my skin color is fairly light.

I chose tan, and on the chart I'm about a 19 or so...dark hair, brown eyes, medium to tan skin. I'm of Eastern European ancestry with one Mexican ancestor thrown in there to make things a bit darker :)
