oh, that made me think: frozen meat. or, anything frozen, but stuff that tend to cling to my skin (because of my own water freezing and getting attached to it i guess? you know the feeling) oh no. I'm at the point now where i can't handle frozen meat other than using a paper towel.

Luckily I haven't had to deal with frozen meat often. I can only imagine!

For me, it's the wetness and the overall texture of the raw meat that bothers me. And the fact that it's clinging onto me. Eek! I still freak out if anything sticks to my skin, so I have to take little breaks to wash my hands (at least when preparing anything messy). xD Then I can continue about my business.

Have you tried putting the meat in vinegar, by the way? Sometimes that helps clean the meat of its slimy texture. It helped me a bit, anyhow.

i grew up in the caribeans, i'm used to marinading any meat in lemon before cooking it :)
but i don't mind unfrozen meat really, i kinda like its texture...sorry about the off topic!

Yeah, it was actually my boyfriend that showed me how to do that. Go figure. He grew up in the US, but his parents are from Jamaica.

when i walk past my neighbor's mailboxes and notice a bunch of moldering phone books lying on the ground, because my neighbors didn't have the basic common decency of picking them up off the ground and actually taking them inside their houses and using said books that their monthly bills paid for.

People touching my feet (I am NOT a violent person, but have been known to hit or kick when someone touches my feet) it actually registers as excruciating pain for me.

Slurping

Fire alarms/car alarms (can send me into a complete meltdown)

Silveware scraping metal pots/pans or scarping plates

People singing off-key. I have an ear for tone and pitch, and had some semi-formal vocal training..so this is a personal pet peeve as well as being an unpleasant sensation.

I found out exactly how much I didn't like things touching my head when a friend plonked a hat on it, without my seeing him do it.
I screamed out and yanked the hat off, then ripped it in half and threw it away, and turned round and nearly punched him - all in the space of a panic-filled 1/2 second. No pain, just a huge feeling of revulsion and utter panic.
This was well before I had any idea about AS so it was as big a surprise to me as it was to him.
Much more embarrassing for me, though.

Talking too loud in public.
Whistling, singing, humming, or snapping fingers in public.
Spitting in public. Especially if they make that annoying loud sound while bringing up mucus.
Eating noisy food.
There's a sucking sound that some people make after they eat.
Picking scabs in public.

Thankyou!
These make me feel nauseous, but my family tell me I must be imagining it, because apparently, humans aren't meant to hear them?
I'm not hearing imaginary bursts of squeak afterall.

Bob dylan'd radio show voice (his singing is ok)Terry wogan's voice and Bob Harris on radio 2.

The colour orange, and 'blancmange' pink.

Eating sounds, human ones.

microfibre towels.

When people go into too much detail about their sex lives.

The noise in tesco. (or the particular combination of noises)

The humming sound when an electrical item is left on standby.

Just to scratch the surface (not of the blackboard)

Light touch makes my skin crawl.
Dry skin on my palms-I'll go so far as to lick my hands to get rid of it.
Little scraps of paper, lint and dust littering a surface.
High pitched squealing noises.

Light touch - especially on the inside of my hip.
People who stare into space a little too long while eating.
Touching paper with wet hands.
People picking at their fingers.
People who pronounce exactly as 'esactly'.

welcome to WP, singer 1 :)
an existential "fingernails on a blackboard" would be people who refuse to pick their new phone books up off the ground next to their mailboxes.
