My country (Singapore) is not so condusive for Aspies. It is too stressful, there are few schools catering to our special needs (even if they do they are always overcrowded), mainstream schools are too overbearing with the emphasis on 'all-round development' (activities inside and outside the curriculum like compulsory community service and school-based activities like Band, Choir and the sports), making me MAD!) and most important of all, it provides no social security funds to Aspies or any other people with disabilities directly. It is idiosyncratic to write this, as job security is the only way to get money in Singapore BUT Aspies are known for being underemployed or unemployed, if I am not mistaken. And as an Asian, I fear double discrimination overseas for being a member of the minorities as well as being 'disabled'.

I wonder what will be the country for Aspies to best live in, where we can live for who we truly and ably are, and not worry about surviving life day-to-day. I know that's hard, as countries around the world are only open to entreprenial talents around the world. I will try my best, I will see how much I can study so that I will be skilled enough to move to a country with a points-based immigration system (particularly for the fields in geography, urban studies, political science or sociology).

And by the way, I think I'd worried too much as a high school senior/Year 12/whatsoever equivalent level student.

I lived and worked for some years in Singapore and can understand that it is a difficult place to live in. For me it was mostly the buzz that got to me, too many people, smells, colors, etc.
On the other hand I had some advantage with being a foreigner. As a foreigner I'm already a bit "different", so being a bit strange would not matter much. People would think that the different behaviour is due to cultural differences. Of course I still had the usual problems in the office, based on ececutive dysfunctioning. That will be a problem anywhere...

Good thing about Singapore are the facilities, very convenient place to live in (long opening hours, food courts, etc.) :-D

Well, flyindutchman, convenience (McDonald's opening all day and night long, for example) is really good. That's a good thing in my country. Other than that, yep, it'll be hard to adapt.

Well i don't say we really live but things as not as bad as middle ages. Also why just you hide the fact that you are different? The idea is that in this time, why we talk about human rights if this things don't exist?Even if they don't there are more important things in life.Or do human rights only count for those who are labelled as normal?

I also noticed that. A lot of people have the idea that Singapore is a very modern country. But I noticed that compared to Western European lifestyle and thinking, it is quite "old-fashioned". Something I also did not expect.

But regarding to your need to find a different place to stay, are you sure that the country you want to move to will have benefits for you? If the country has benefits for aspies/auties, are you sure that you as a foreigner can apply as well? For example in the Netherlands, some social security benefits do not apply to foreigners. In that case you would have to live here for a certain number of years, or maybe adopt a new nationality.

I would say a country or continent that has no people. Antartica perhaps. I like the cold I grew up in Buffalo, NY we had seven feet of snow fall on Christmas eve on time. When I dug out our sidewalk it looked like the trenches of the Hoth battle scene from Empire Strikes Back. I was in heaven, not one person was outside I had the entire street to myself.

This is why I am considering other countries that I can hold a job in. Not my own...

I am looking at the 6 future sites of humanity:

Sinai Peninsula
Gaza Strip
Falkland Islands/Islas Malvinas
Somalia
Yemen
Western Sahara

And build it upon the history of these 6 places:

Luxembourg
Liechtenstein
Bermuda
Qatar
Singapore
United States

Not practical. We also need NTs to survive. Isn't it true that NTs take care of aspies and provide services for them? who would do that in an all aspie nation? and why would people join that nation? often people sympatheize with their nationallity, ethnic origin, common history or whatever. But to form a country based on some disabillity? why won't we give all paralyzed people a country? all anemic people a country?

Just no. We are strong when we are varied, different, each one complements the other's disadvantage and all. Also it would be boring if you lived with only aspies around you.
