My favorite number is 3. 1 and 2 aren't enough, and 4 is too much. I don't find that I have many physical compulsions that I repeat three times, but I count all the time "1,2,3 1,2,3 1,2,3" in my head when I'm not thinking. I usually stim to the pace of the counting so I suppose that is a compulsion.
Odd numbers are good, because my brain sees them with a beginning, middle and end. Even numbers are too constant, it's always going to be even, no matter how far down the pattern you go. That is too open-ended for my brain.

When I do rituals its 3, and if I mess up I have to start over and do it 3 times correctly. And my safe number is 7. That's the number that will keep bad things from happening, for example I will always pick row 7 when I get on a plane. And the number 6 is my "bad" number. I think it started because it's known as the devils number. When I play cards in will get rid of any 6's in my hand even if I need them.

Thats so weird, my safe number is 7 as well. Whenever I am at 7 I feel calm and well, it gets easier to breath. (Counting things, taping fingers, license plates, windows, floors, whatever.) (Multiples of 7 work as well, but to a lesser extent.)

And then to a lesser degree and less important is 3, 3 is my more physical number. For the amount of times I do things, or the number that I feel comfortable seeing, I always group things into 3s when processing visual info...

And then out of the 3s and 7s a love for 10 has come about, it seems like the perfect marriage of the two. But I am still warming to it, its a little to even for me, it seems too dirty (and its not a prime, which makes it so weak and flimsy). But I like the idea that 7 + 3 is 10, or 5*2 is 10. (I see 7s a 5 + 2)

I dont know, I always sound like a lunatic whenever I start talking about numbers... But its one of those things you cant put into words or explain, but it just feels right. Or incredibly wrong...

I don't have that type of OCD. However, certain numbers bug me. Typically, odd numbers, except 5's (5, 15, 25, 35, 45 etc.), bother me.

I have more of an "obsessive" type of OCD than a "compulsive" type of OCD. My biggest obsessions are with reassurance seeking, I will ask for reassurance than a little while, I have to ask again. Most of my other compulsions are thinks I have to do until I feel "just right".

I have this weird one where I have to pet my cat, than kiss her, than pet her again, than kiss her. The last has to be a kiss, not a pet. I think I annoy her a bit with it sometimes.

I'm not really OCD, but my number has always been 4 but a little while ago I started to like 5 (but 4 was still the main one) and now all that has mostly gone away... But I still like 4, and 5 is ok too ;)

I'm not exactly OCD, but 3. When I scritch on the bed for the cat to come, I do it 3 times, and a whole bunch of other things, it's always 3

I have strong OCD traits, and always have to have an even number of something...so if you were handing out candy I would *have* to take 4 pieces, even if I grabbed in the bag and pulled out 5. My lucky number, however, is 2, as my birthday is February 2nd (02/02).

Oh gosh.

4s are the ultimate good.
3s (which make me wince even to type) are very bad.
Then, prime numbers are generally bad.
Multiples of 4 are good, and multiples of 3 are bad; multiples of both (i.e., 12) confuse me.

Volume on stuff has to be an equal number or atleast a quarter like 25.

I'm just getting really bad with needing to keep clean. I won't sit in my bed until I've had a (long) shower, and try to make sure my clothes don't touch anything even going from my bed to the bathroom... :(

I never really gave this a though but it seems that... wow...

Volume knobs must be in increments of 5.

Thermostats must be set to an even number.

Weights must in quarter pound or half kilogram increments or if measured in smaller amounts like milligrams they must be even numbers. If I ask for half a pound or a pound of ham and don't get it exactly it annoys me.

Amounts and numbers of stuff/items must be either even numbers or increments of 5, if they can't be even, with the only exception of 3. So they can never be something like 7,9,11,13,17,19 or 21 but 1,2,3,4,5,6,12,14,15,18, 20, 25 is fine.

I also like to have things and accessories in pairs (for redundancy maybe?)

Weird... I'm actually discovering things I never really thought about.

For me it's 12 deep down and in my mind.

But to the NT world I post 51. If you can use your imagination, you can take this number and hold against a mirror and it looks like a 12.

People see me as an odd weird guy (51 is an odd number) but in the mirror I see the 12, which is a somewhat prominent magic number. It's an even that many multiples like 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and itself 12.

This works as a metaphor (or symbolism?) as how the world sees me is different to how I see myself.

For me I buy things in 3s, spray things in 8s - deo or scent.
I have associations with 7,11,22,36,42,44.

9, definitely. 3 and 6 are good two, but 9's the best!

Evens. It has always been evens. The biggest thing I would do when I was a kid was count my steps home from school. I had to end on an even number and it had to be on my right foot (because I usually take off from my left). I also have a thing for "picket fences" like 11:11. I am excitedly waiting for November 11, 2011 at 11:11.11 in the morning. It will be my magic time.

On another note, I hate the number 8.
