Fluency, gap between the words, speech problems

Hi, I wonder if someone else has this problem:
problem with fluency and speed of the speech
sometimes my speech is fragmentated, I have a little gap between the words
it is similar to starmer but also not the same
there is like a little space between the words
it is like interrupted
sometimes is not so noticeable, sometimes more
I know speech fluency can be a common problem of Asperger.
I have Asperger.

I pause a lot when I'm talking to prevent myself from stuttering. It used to be intentional but now it's pretty much automatic. Not sure if it's the same thing though.

Thanks Jori. In my experience it has not been happening intentionally, but like my natural rhythm of speech.

I pause between words when I speak. Most of the time it is because I cant find the right words to communicate what is in my head. Sometimes its because I am not ready to talk and have been forced to (like a surprise class presentation) and sometimes its because I dont know what I have to say. Whenever any of this happens my words usually stop coming at some point and I get the feeling of staring into a void, my mind gets really confused and I end up looking like a lost ret*d.
