Morning for me. Unless it's summer. Last summer I would have about three cold showers a day.
I need something to wake me up in the morning seeing as I don't drink coffee. And the warmth it brings me on those cold winter mornings is a bonus.

Night. I need all the help I can get to help me fall asleep. Didn't work tonight, though.

Timing does not matter. I don't like the feeling of water spraying against my face :(

I have been preferring just after dark lately. I also have a specific routine when showering.

Whenever. As long as it is often. The water in our area went off for three days once...worst three days of my life. I didn't smell bad (hurray...i can go at least three days without bathing and not stink) but KNOWING that i hadn't showered in so long made me crazy.

It depends on what I'm doing the next day. If I need to be up early to take my daughter to school, then I shower the night before. If, like now, she's on holiday from school and we're not going out until 11am, I'll shower in the morning.

In the evening. I like getting in comfy clothes after having showered, and that can't be done in the morning.

NEVER.

Showering is sensory-overload for me in a horrible way. The noise, the steam, the water spraying everywhere, and feeling cold and damp afterwards and having to rub my skin with a rough towel is like a total nightmare.

Mornings, usually. On a hot day I take one in the evening as well. I _never_ go outside my appartement without having taken a shower. Not even just to get my mail downstairs.

I love it though. It's the place I think most clearly. I have my best ideas under the shower. I can never take quick one, because I always get lost in thought. And that's almost always the main reason I'm late to appointments.

I love showering. Usually in the morning, but sometimes in the afternoon or evening.

You do realise you can adjust the direction of a shower head? Water spray in the face is not compulsory

This goes for me as well. I /love/ showering. The one place where my mind can finally come to rest and I can focus my thoughts. Whenever I am stuck with a difficult programming or other intellectual problem, the shower is where I will go. And it never fails to give me the answer I was looking for. It is where I have my 'Eureka!' moments :)
