Hi everyone

I'm going to Secondary/High/Big School in September. The school is huge. I'm worried about finding my way round. I'm quite scared about it. I'm also worried about making friends with people.

If you've been to Big School how have you found your way round?

Were you worried about it too?

How did you make friends?

Thanks :D

Don't worry! I am sure it will come by itself finding your way around
you will find how to settle and to establish yourself
I went in a very big school when I was 14 years old
it was quite difficult especially in the beginning
and as a person having AS, also for me it was not easy to make friends.
It has be never easy actually.
But everywhere can be a good opportunity to meet some good person.

Big places can be scaring, many people and a lot of space
Even if it will take time, I am sure you will find your way.
Trust your sense and intuition!

You get the hang of it once you go to your classes. Just hang in there!

Do you generally have significant difficulties finding your way around? If not, then I would agree with others who have already responded and say that you will probably be okay. It might be helpful to go through the school before school starts though, and make sure you can find your classes. If you are like me however, and have severe problems finding your way around in even familiar, everyday locations, then you might be in trouble. If so, PM me, and we can talk about strategies to use. I have a whole list of strategies I have to use all the time to keep from getting lost.
