Have you ever had anybody describe you as robotic? People have told me many times before that I don't act human and that I act more like a robot or a computer. My nickname at college was spock for quite some time.

My voice is. And maybe some of my movements. I haven't really been told I am like a robot though. It would be cool if they did; I love robots! :)

I've been likened to Spock more than a few times, but not a robot yet, no.

Nobody has ever described me as robotic or anything similar, but that is exactly how I feel to myself. :/

No, proly cos I tend to act from the gut/heart, and have had this confirmed back to me on occasion. My Myers-Briggs type is I/ENFP.

Sometimes they'd call me that when I ran, but not in daily life....I fixed that a long time ago.

There were a few people in high school, including one teacher, that called me 'Andriod'. But no one ever specifically told me that I was robot-like that I can remember. Maybe the nickname implied that? I've never really thought about it... I don't think I am robot-like now.

Actually, just that, I think, yeah! I imagine there's a significant difference between aspies who work from the 'head' and those who work 'from the heart' {Thw world needs plenty of ppl who do either one or the other or both ofcourse.} For example, my interests, such as they are in my seroxat-induced demotivated state, centre on 'heavy' subjects such as psychology and the arts rather than 'dry' subjects such as computing.

What does that have to do with being robotic?

Well pure logic, for starters, can be performed by robots better then by any aspie; If one doesn't habitually use or respond to/express one's emotions, how is one to avoid appearing robotic?

My parents tell me I speak like a robot. I have a very monotonous voice most of the time. I try not to put any emotion in my voice to avoid conflict. It's my way of hiding my displeasure about being ordered around.

I don't act like a robot though.

My brother always calls me a robot. He always says in an electronic voice: "I am Paperoceans, I am a robot" and does a robotic dance around me.

He makes fun of the way that I walk as well. Apparently, I don't swing my arms when I walk. I never noticed any of this until he started making fun of me--so I asked my mother and she said it was true. Don't you love big brothers?! Always there to make fun of you! And he's twenty-five!

At my former job, a boss told me he was scared of me since I showed no emotion. IDGI though? I think I'm showing facial emotions, and then my mom tells me to stop because I look crazy or like a serial killer.

YOU NEVER WIN!

I used to walk with my head down and my arms mostly planted at my sides. I have tried to train myself to walk more normally.

I sometimes get comments that I'm uptight, etc. My wife - the person who I'm more expressive too than anyone - described me as unexpressive. I've had photographs taken where I thought I was smiling broadly, only to see that I'd barely managed a smirk.

All this goes out the window when I start to flap my hands and twist my fingers, though! Luckily I do that in public much less these days.

^^Yea, I really have to focus on moving my arms when I walk or else they'll be pinned to my sides. I think when I was little, I used to look down though; only difference is now I do it with my nose up.

Here is a tip though, I try to carry things in my hands so I don't have swing my arms. I hold my ipod infront of me and I tug at my purse with my other hand. It helps!
