I counted 12, so I missed 3. I didn't see the gorilla though.

I suppose it's going to be one of those things again where if you missed the gorilla you're an Aspie and if you did see the gorilla you're an NT, or something like that.

I counted 13 the second time, and still didn't see the gorilla, until it was walking back out of the screen, but that might be because I knew about the gorilla the second time.

I don't think this is necessarily relevant to ASDs in particular. I can't remember which class it was, but I saw this in middle school or high school. Nobody saw the gorilla and as far as I'm aware all my classmates were NTs.

Edit: I remember now. It was my high school psychology class.

I counted 15 (I can't believe I actually got it right!) But I totally missed the gorilla. I saw something moving over there but was too focused on the white players so I didn't miss the passes. So....what does this mean?

EDIT: Oh, I see....you posted two videos for a reason! LOL Now I know the answer to my question. 8)

No indeed. I guess it's more relevant to autistic people with ADHD, the numbers of whom I believe is technically lots and lots

I counted 13 and didn't see the gorilla.

And I'm neurotypical.

I saw the gorilla and got the count right on the first try. But I know enough about these tests to know that what they ask you is not what they are studying. It is usually something else that they are looking for. So I counted the passes and kept scanning the room. Don't know if it means anything that I was able to get the right count even while watching the entire room.

One of the passes happens while the boy and girl in the white shirts are lined up. The ball is passed at 29 seconds to the girl, who passes to the boys who then steps to his right and passes it back to her. I think many people count that as only one or two passes. Incidentally, it's passed around the gorilla then. :)

I counted 13 and did not see any gorillas. I did see, however, a person wearing a black hairy costume that could remotely resemble someone's opinion of how a gorilla would look like.

Of course I got to see the gorilla.

I didn't manage to keep up with counting after the first two passes in the video, because while I read the instruction twice after restarting to get headphones, I totally missed how there are two teams until the woman in the other video pointed it out.

Consequently, I tried to count all passes, but failed to keep up with that many humans with weird hair styles and no longer fashionable looking clothes moving around hectically.

I also can't stop staring at the weird Ss in the background because apparently that detail is just so awesome to my autistic brain.

And then I also wonder about when those elevator doors will open and what would happen. What if one of the players falls into the pit below? Would somebody be held responsible? Had someone used the elevator during an earlier attempt to capture that video?

Realisation: there are two teams, they actually talked about players wearing white in the instructions and the people in the video are wearing white and black shirts.

ADHD at its prime, my meds wore off and I wanted to continue playing video games anyway.

13 and the gorilla, I was confused about a few passes, as it was not very clear. I am an aspie btw, but I am always noticing things others are not so that may be it...

(Plus I thought the gorilla was chewbacca initially)

I saw the gorilla.

But only because the second video had a more interesting title, so I watched it first. :D Sorry.
