Ever since I started school when was a wee lad id get anxiety induced vomiting. It was really crippling growing up because everyday I'd vomit multiple times. I'm 22 now and though I don't vomit everyday I still get very sick to my stomach. Anyone have this crappy ass problem and is there anyway to combat it. I wake up early so nervous and sick I'm loosing sleep. I just can't function properly.

Not a problem with vomiting but I did have agonising stomach/bowel cramps from when I was about 10 until my later teens when it fortunately tail off by itself. I don't have an easy answer for you. I suspect mine was brought on at that age due to the stress caused by my increasing awareness of my difference to others and as those differences began to impact on my functioning.

What I do know is that stressing out about the pain can in itself cause the physical symptoms to manifest themselves so you find yourself caught in a self-reinforcing loop.

I hesitate to recommend medication but perhaps the a doctor could prescribe something to break the stress/pain cycle. Alternatively there are methods such as meditation and hypnosis that work for some people.

I haven't been sick for about 13 years now, because I have a massive fear of it. The fear is so intense that I have prevented vomiting when feeling really sick, by sweating it all out. I still felt sick and queasy the next day but no vomiting.

I have an anxiety disorder, but I don't be sick with it. I used to keep feeling sick on and off, now I just get stomachaches occasionally, but everybody gets stomachaches at times. I get a lot of headaches, and I know that is stress and anxiety-related.

sometimes when i eat large quantities of chilly or things by accident (because i wasn't paying attention to what i was eating and how it would make me feel) i need to vomit but i can't. it's horrible and i feel ill for a day lol. man i just can't vomit when i feel sick. I think i have spewed about 5-10 times in my whole life. and that includes all the puking from drinking i did when i was 16-21 lol.

I've had stomach problems my whole life. Doctors haven't been able to diagnose anything, even after I spent a month in the hospital going through a bunch of tests. I suffer from migraines, which can cause extreme nausea and vomiting, but the stomach problems also come without headaches. There's nothing I can do, so I just live with it.

I've had one episode of anxiety induced vomiting last November. Two teenagers didn't bother to hold the door open and the door closed on me. I swung the door back as far as I could with one arm and I'm a very strong person. I was thinking about today's youth on the way home and as soon as I got home I had to puke in the toilet.

Yeah. And I had a terrible summer because of it.

Too much stuff going on -> mental overload -> nausea -> impaired functioning

^ That is actually one of the strongest arguments supporting the hypothesis that I have AS.

I puke when I eat things my body can't handle. Thankfully, thats mostly fried foods. Now I'm on a health kick, and I'm avoiding a bad experience.
