Erm....

Bet no one can guess what mine is.

Anyway.....

"The X-Files" appealed to my AS because:

1. Cool, gross monsters!

2. Mulder and Scully were un-apologetically introverted, which was a nice change of pace.

3. Scully was finally a girl on TV I could relate to.

4. Everyone at the FBI made fun of Mulder and Scully, but it didn't matter because they were smarter than everybody.

5. Gross, cool monsters!

6. Mulder and Scully didn't trust anyone in power and neither do I.

The X-Files was my favorite TV show until it went off the air. The Lone Gunman were great... to bad the spinoff didn't last too long! I don't really watch TV anymore except for Futurama.

I don't post much, but this one drew me out of lurk-mode.

1. House

2. Law & Order Criminal Intent

I like other shows but those are the ones that appeal strongly to my Aspie-sense.

A lot of my speical intrests/obsessions WERE cartoons and TV shows. The very first speical intrest/obsession I can remember was a very strange cartoon called Tiny Toon Adventures. I never really cared for the pratfall esque humor of it, but I loved the cute little animal characters.

My next biggest obsession, Lion King was also a movie. The cartoon Sonic X, had a lot to do with Sonic becoming my newest obsession.

Im showing my age here :) but I remember that I identified with this.

The Littlest Hobo

All three productions centered around a stray German Shepherd who wanders from town to town, helping people in need. Although the concept was similar to that of Lassie, the Littlest Hobo did not have an owner, and despite the attempts of the many people whom he helped to adopt him, he appeared to prefer to be on his own, and would head off by himself at the end of each episode.

Identified with that show as well. :)

I was obsessed with Dr House of House MD and as a result, Hugh Laurie as well. Not in an AS way though (oh lord do not get me started) more in a mental anguish kind of way

When I was a teenager, I obsessed over "The Highlander" TV show. I saw a complex and in depth mythology in it. I wanted to see every episode they ever made. So for a few years, I watched reruns in syndication every day. Today I think it's a bit lame but back then, I lived and died for that show.

Absolutely, same here. Almost had an unhealthy obsession with the show for a while. Just seemed to hit a chord with me. I guess it kind of corresponds with another of my obsessions....the concept of time, history, aging, and similar things. I love history and figuring out when something happened. Also family trees. Weird.

I know may people on the spectrum who like Big Bang Theory because of Sheldon's very AS-like characteristics.

Before I even knew about Aspergers, I was drawn to shows and characters with aspie traits.

My favorite shows/charcaters:
CSI - Gil Grissom
House - House
Big Bang Theory - Sheldon
Criminal Minds - Spencer
Bones - Zach
Numb3rs - Larry

Big Bang Theory - each episode over, and over, and over, and over, and over again. I can almost recite entire episodes.

I also obsess about Breaking Bad, but more so speculating about the motives of the characters, their strategic errors, and what might happen next.

Just like Attwood says in his Complete Guide, I got into Monty Python at a very young age and I still love it, though I haven't actively watched it in a while.

I've been watching a lot of Bones recently.

I also realized that as a little kid I watched that show Small Wonder all of the time, loved it, made my mom tape it, etc. I watched some clips on YouTube recently. wow, that should have been a sign right there. The whole show is about how this little girl is actually a robot and doesn't know how to respond to or act like people.

This, to the letter. I can match quotes to the episodes they were in, plus the episode number and season. NT people think it's weird that I can do that. I think it's weird they can't.
