it's part sedative and part halucinogin it does make you relaxed and it makes you feel like you shouldn't be doing anything which is fine as long as you shouldn't be doing anything. it's a milder drug then alchohol in how it changes the way you think and expierence the world. Although how strongly you react to it depends. ow and keep in mind that when using any drug you shouldn't check with every impuls that comes in wether its part of the drugs effect or part of how you would feel normaly. that counterproductive to the effect of the drug and can make you uncomfortable.

i feel that a low dosage helps relaxing indeed, but it might not for you, since everyone is different.
one thing to keep in mind; should you decide to try; have a friend that doesn't use any near you the first few times, it is possible to react badly and you'd be very happy to have a sober person there to help you

Hopefully you can find someone that is willing to sell/give it to you. Most dealers are cautious enough as it is. Selling to an awkward individual who has no social sense isn't something most dealers would want to do.
They may underestimate your functioning level and assume that if they sell you weed, an angry parent/caretaker/nurse would track them down and get them into major trouble. Or maybe assume that the aspie will blab about the transaction to everyone. Again, that would get the person in trouble.
Just like making friends and taking lovers, finding dealers is also harder for an aspie.

Its very good for stress and anxiety.

Its hopeless for executive functioning.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabis_%28drug%29 but its not a great article, due to the controversial aspects and illegality

Rather than smoking, try just placing a bit of bud under your bottom lip next to the gum. This is the best medical way to use cannabis

Um... pot dealers sell to potheads. So everyone they sell to is an awkward individual who has no social sense.

Heres a young man wanting quality information, and all you can do is criticise others who are different from you.

There are many here who medicate their condition.

Bullying by calling them awkward and socially problematic just shows you for what you are. Unkind, unfair and ignorant

I have tried it before but it didn't have much of an effect on me, and I strongly disliked the smoke. (I'm asthmatic.)

Quality information? He typed "ne1" and misspelled "cannabis". And who doesn't know that cannabis relaxes most people? But mostly, my point was that yes, he can get pot from a dealer even if he's awkward. And for f**k's sake don't you know what a pothead is? Sounds like someone needs to chill out and "medicate their condition".

I used to but it had some really bad effects on me. I don't think people like us weren't meant to use Marijuana. It just doesn't affect us the way it effects NT's. Probably cause our brains are wired differently.

im glad ur talking about me, im mathematical and would challenge 'ne1' just bcos the spelling makes ur brain work slightly harder, ur taking it out on me, i have adhd aswell as AS so i rush and to me the way i type is more efficiant. i mean r u telling me u didnt understand???
im 25 and used bud for ten years, i was young and neieve when i started and this was an intelligant way of getting some valuable information ( some more than others hey :))

i feel my opinion on weed is shrouded by my not knowing any diff. i wish i could medicate sorry medic8 :) within the limits of the law.
thanx to those that contributed well. and those that didnt so much :) i 4get ur name (or didnt care to look)
a bit of advice for u now, if uv got nothing nice to say, then dont say anything at all.
and this is england thers a dealer every 5 doors.

In my limited experience with pot I mostly felt nothing. Maybe I didn't inhale enough. I don't smoke. The one time it did affect me I was sick and throwing up for days. I don't know if it was because it was huge and thick or if there was something else in it or what. It gave me weird feeling that I had flashbacks to for a while after, like the night I did it I was standing in my friend's kitchen and it felt like my head was almost touching the ceiling.

I think I feel messed up enough that I don't want even more things to make me feel worse. I won't even drink alcohol any more.

One thing that helped me but I have no way to get now is valium. I got to try it a few times when a friend gave me some and it helped with anxiety, palpitations, and made me feel what I imagine is how normal people feel most of the time.

Firstly, if you decide to take cannabis, then do not smoke it. Take it some other way, such as chewing, or you'll experience all the horrible side effects of smoking tobacco in addition to the effects of taking the cannabis.

Secondly, it's okay to not be able to spell some words, but it's good to try as hard as you can. It's not just about "making your brain work slightly harder", it can be a nightmare for some people who don't speak English as their first language to try and read, let alone everyone else.

Finally, a dealer every 5 doors? That would be about 4 million dealers serving 12 people each (assuming the whole country takes cannabis- they don't, by the way). That doesn't work.
