Today I thought was my last day of work and I was to come in at 11 am so I did and instead I get this good bye party because I'm moving. Employees brought in food they made or bought and I was even given a stationary gift, Hello Kitty and a card. I ate and stayed because in my heart I find it rude to leave during a party someone gives you so I waited till everyone was done or going back to work. I do like surprises but it depends on what they are, soemthing I like. Anyone else like them or does it depend on what they are for you too?

If someone asks me "Do you like surprises?" My response is "Depends on what they are."

I can't say I like them. Surprises good or bad throws off my routine.

Depends if it a naked person poping out of a cake ;), or if someone said free computer hardware...

Surprise leaving party, would think it's not a surprise as you would expect them to do that...

I would say depends, hell take me out side and say surprise (with a bmw x5 jeep standing there), mind you could do the same with a APC (Surprise) mind you the fuel they go through...

Parties would be something more of a worse one... As I will want to just walk back out and get in my jeep and take a deep breathe and go lol

If a surprise forces me to change my plans, I will not like it one bit. If they do not, however, I will rarely have a positive reaction (unless it is evidently linked to my interests), but neither will I dislike it.
I do tend to be uncomfortable with wrapped gifts, though, when you are supposed to look positively surprised and pleased. Since it does not come natural for me, my mind has to work a lot to know the proper emotion and reaction for each thing that is revealed to me, which makes it a stressful experience.

Surprises can be very disturbing. Sometimes they are nice though...

I'll come acrossed a nice suprize in a flea market or an antique mall, once in a blue moon. Those are the suprizes that I like.

There are some suprizes that I don't like, such as the Thursday Afternoon Stepping Stones walking club being cancled due to bad weather or too little interest.

Generally speaking, I hate surprises. I never get any nice ones, they're always bad and unwanted.

Some surprises are nice, like the cat painting I got from my friends on my Internet cat site. Others are bad, like a change brought about by somebody's poor planning. I used to be very thrown off by a change in routine, but now I don't mind it, if it leads to something better and more interesting than what I had originally planned.

I hate the bad surprises.

But I will always welcome a good one!

Surprise equals lack of choice as to whether to participate. Whether or not I enjoy myself would depend on the activity. Either way I'd rather have the option to decide.

Suprises are great! Just so long as I'm expecting them. Presents for instance, I enjoy. A suprise party.... Never had one, though I doubt I'd enjoy it much, if any. And suprises like owing $200 on the gas bill and if you don't pay by tomorrow they'll shut you off and tack a $50 reconnection fee to your bill, I could live much happier without.
