I have been told by multiple people that I should be on SSI for a combination of Asperger's and migraines.

It is possible for Asperger's to be enough to get someone on SSI, but it is also often not enough on its own.

Also, SSI does not state for Social Security Income, its Supplemental Security Income. This is run through social security people, but does not pull from the same pool of money. If you have worked in the past and can't work anymore (or can't hold a job) there is also SSDI, which is run through that pool of money. I've heard of people who regularly get and then lose jobs because of Asperger's having a far easier time getting SSDI than SSI.

There are people on these forums who are living off of disability payments, either because of being autistic or a combination of autism and other complications or disabilities.
