I have a classmate whom I'm 99% sure is aspie. She stares at me all...the...time....and talks incessantly to herself

Kind of like me but still. 8O

I've only met one Aspie in my life, but he's not scary.

I've met a severely Autistic child who scared me a little. He got into a massive panic when he saw me because he seemed terrified of other children. Plus I was smiling at him and looking at him, so something in his mind must have thought ''oh my god what if she wants to make social interaction with me? What the hell is social interaction?? I don't know how to do it! Help! This is all too overwhelming for me!! !''

I'm not being nasty, but he did remind me of animal behaviour.

Best example I can think of offhand is a former co-worker - she wasn't exactly "scary", but it could get a little weird working with her........she often muttered/mumbled to herself (so you never knew if she was talking to you or no), and if you said something to her, sometimes she either acted like she didn't hear you, or would just give you a blank look.

Oddly enough, I never have. I've met some annoying ones and some that were evidently not very moral people; and I've met a few that had violent meltdowns; but scary... no, not really.

I guess I'll meet one eventually. There are scary people of all sorts out there.

That actually would scare me. I guess I'm not as tolerant as I thought.

It happens to me too. Some people tend to overthink too much negative situations. If i'm not wrong, aspies have a lot of negative emotions.

I can probably scare people because I am a little weird, but I am actually very harmless.

I knew a scary aspie at school. He was very tall and very broad and had a crazy walk, he stomped a lot and his coordination was abysmal. That coupled with his largeness made him quite a surreal sight. He was quite an angry soul and swore at his mentor a lot and had a very serious face with his eyebrows constantly furrowed.

I haven't met any other aspies face-to-face, but I've certainly met more than my share of scary NT's. I often suspect that others perceive me as the scary one, because if they're not bullying me, they're usually shying away from me... although I've done absolutely nothing whatsoever to drive them away. I'm completely harmless, and would very honestly rather hurt myself than anyone else.

the aspie girls I met lately find me pretty intimidating and scary. I know I like to scare the hell out of people sometimes.
older people however often find me very sweet and nice. my personality is really inconsistent.

I've been told I can be a bit unnerving at times. Some people tell me I act like I have no emotion at all. A few people think I'm a psychopath or sociopath.

And yet some other people tell me (and experience tells me) that I have a a wee bit of a temper....

Yeah, Myself.
And only when I REALLY lose my temper. That is rare, I've gotten really good control. But there are a few cases where I regressed, or was backed into a corner: Well, frustration+anger=frightened people, including me. Usually I go throughweeks of anxiety attack afterward. Sometimes depression too.

Sincerely,
Matt

i'm not sure if my father has asperger or not, he shows some autistic traits and sometimes flexes his hand without knowing he's doing it. he's a bit scary sometimes, because he has a mean streak in him, but i know some nts who are mean, too. my father is very bossy and loves power and can be very selfish even to his own kids. he likes to argue and put people down and sometimes enjoys humiliating his own children.

I am a scary person with AS. Children and the elderly flee from me and I am unable to step foot in the shadow of a church.

Yes there was someone at my community college who likely had Autism and he had severe anger management issues. He would throw temper tantrums in the middle of class over minor things like not having his homework stapled or getting a D on a math test. The kid was aware enough to know that he was different but had no idea why it seemed. He ended up getting expelled from the school due to his anger management issues along with stalking a girl. I have no idea what the stalking thing was about other then he showed up at the girls house one day. His behavior definitely was scary, and crazy. I didn't want to try to talk to him. He screamed at me once because I sat behind him coughed, and he screams "Did you just cough on me". And I was like "Sorry my bad". He started screaming "Great! Now I have to go home and take a shower!".
