I learned in 6th grade I was a Aspie. So my mother told close family. As mothers do. Personally I've only told one person, which is my best friend and closest confident, who I tell everything to. While I Do not approve of telling everybody, since, from just being a creep and eavesdropping on any Aspie related convo I've learned ignorants think we're "ret-ed" (sorry don't use r word) so don't do that. The way I told my best friend, was that one day the school had an antibullying program. A part was about aspies and how we're victims, describing cases of aspies who were bullied into suicide. It got to me, and I cried. My friend later asked me what was wrong and if I was ok. I knew she could understand, so I swore her to secrecy and begged her not to think differently of me. Then I told her. And honestly a HUGE weight came off my shoulders. So tell, but only a few trustworthy people who, like my friend, whould replay, "Ahhh do that's why you know so much about *whatever you may obses about* (musical theater)"
