Does anyone here use their peripheral vision more than normal?

I am constanty being startled by things out of the corner of my eye.

I have a limited range of peripheral vision, so I rarely use it. Due to this (and having very sharp ears), I have learned to rely more on my hearing than on vision.

Yes, when I play a FPS people tend to think I cheat because I can watch the whole screen at once.

I have very little peripheral vision, so no.

I haven't noticed anything too strange, although from time to time I do find myself glancing to my side to what appears to be a ball flying at me, only to see that it's my own shadow. I wonder if there is any deeper meaning to that...

I've actually found it quite difficult to use my peripheral vision, but that's because at a certain age I started making it a habit to look at every thing in a room individually, mapping out the items and locations mentally. Since then I've just sort of done it sub-consciously... I can't tell you how many times I've been in one of my friends god awfully dirty rooms, they lose something, and I find it having some how mapped out its location.

But, yeah, it gives me a lot of trouble playing video games. Probably why I don't like them that much. :P

I guess I have been too desensitized. Still, sometimes I surprise myself. ALSO, I am getting to read more words at once, etc..., and have trouble discerning if I am remembering related items, or simply noting them subconciously because of peripheral vision.

I don't know, maybe. I don't look directly at people, usually down below or from the sides, so maybe.

Yes, I have very good eyesight and peripheral vision, and lately have been seeing more and more out of the corners of my eyes...even to the point of wondering if I'm hallucinating.

My eyesight is good but i don't think i use peripheral vision. I think it's because of my inability to multitask.
