It seems most everyone prefers cotton clothing. Multiple layers of clothing also is a common problem.
I, also, wear only cotton clothing and hate multiple layers of clothing. Clothes cannot be starchy/unmalleable, ie jeans. They have to be malleable material so I can adjust the bottom layer easily. I never wear socks unless unavoidable, my socks are all Explorers made from cotton. I cannot get socks on unless I wash my feet, a routine to desensitize them. I walk barefoot most everywhere.
All my clothes are brightly colored: bright red, bright blue. Mmm, colors.

Isn't it pretty normal not to like wearing uncomfortable clothing?

Yes, its normal, but what's uncomfortable varies between NT uncomfortable and autistic uncomfortable. The wrong clothes/fabrics are painful. The comfortable range is also usually quite narrow for us, and dependant more on material than style. To illustrate: my brothers, I know can wear most any clothes they like the look of. I have to feel the material first.

I wear cotton t-shirts and either jeans or BDUs. I also wear cotton socks and Vans. I hate the feeling of wearing a shirt and infrequently do around the house. I also don't like the feeling of anything tight around my waist and all underwear bugs me, though going without feels worse. BDUs are great about that since in typical military design, the waist is adjustable so that four sizes fit all. They also last twice as long as jeans.

I also generally wear a lot of cotton and cordaroy. Mainly black. I dislike the wierd material in fleeces. It is just recycled bottles.

Cotton all the way for me as well. My favorite outfit is a cotton all white t-shirt with blue jeans and my blue and black teva terri-fi sandals.

I used to try to get used to things other than cotton, meaning cotton-poly blends, or nylon in a shirt. I tried it because I thought I could get used to it since it doesn't bother other people. As soon as I learned I was an Aspie, I gave up this ridiculous quest and am buying more and more 100% cotton these days --- and loving it!! :-)

wool makes me itch and it makes me over hot and sweaty. Yuck, I'd rather wear a sack against my skin, unless the wool is the soft kind.

Alot of clothes I think are really cool are uncomfortable, they fall off, or feel like they're sitting in a funny place. I liketo buy things I like, I also care about my apperance.

The clothes I like are expensive because they are not mass produced - I don't want to look like half the country.

I love the feeling of being encompassed or hugged, so I usually wear a tight shirt under a baggy one. I'm big on layering, but only if the layers line up JUST RIGHT. For this reason, I have a total of about 3 shirt combinations I wear and I get quite upset when they wear out. That means I have to go and find all new shirts.

I can't stand the touch of most fabrics--I'm limited mostly to satins, sweatsuit material or 100% cotton t-shirts on my top half. I can stand jeans on my bottom half, if I must, but prefer either corduroy (the inside feels very nice) or khakis. All my pants have to be quite loose and long.

I hate wearing shoes. I go barefoot as much as I can, but since I live in Canada, a lot of the year it's cold. I hate socks. My socks come off as soon as it's warm enough. I will wear sandals in public, since I can't go barefoot, but the bottom of the sandals and any place my foot touches has to be perfectly smooth or I actually get sick to my stomach.

I can't stand gloves or mittens, but I'll wear long sleeves to keep my hands warm in. I hate hats, but since I shaved my head I have to wear them to keep from getting burnt and to help with temperature regulation.

Mum is always very upset with me at birthdays and Christmas when I drop the new outfit someone just gave me on the floor and start rubbing my hand against my chest to get off the feel. My family may never get it through their heads that I have to choose myown clothes. Since I can't stand shopping, this usually means raiding others' closets and then washing the clothes five-six times to get the smells out.

I enjoy wearing sandals, but not trainers. They suck.

Ick. I can't be seen in sandals. Or flip flops. Or anything else like that. It just doesn't look right on me, and it doesnt feel right, either. Footwear must be worn at all times for maximum comfort. I even sleep with socks on.

Otherwise, I've got no aversion to anything special. You'll usually find me in jeans (black) because they fit so much better than khakis, or this time of year, shorts - twill cargos or sometimes denim. A pocket-T is good enough for me. I used to like the collars of polo shirts, but you have to fidget with them sometimes to get them to lay down properly, and I'm not a fidgety guy when it comes to clothes.

I like khakis. They're comfortable enough to wear around the house, they're very casual with a t-shirt and sandals, and with a button-down shirt and nice shoes they're dressy enough to handle most more formal situations.

Khakis used to be okay, but I prefer black and Sepultura shirts.

Mostly XXL black/grey T shirts (though I do like my new sickly green 'Salad Fingers' shirt) and black combat pants, with a pair of knackered old Airwalks or combat/caterpillar type boots.I also have a long 'Neo-style' black leather coat - the weight is very cool. Cotton stuff otherwise usually or I overheat in minutes. I HATE ties and shirts with collars, I feel like I'm being choked. Same goes for formal pants. This was the cause of much grumbling and resentment in the workplace, as I was constantly being criticised for being sloppy.

That is so awesome! I really want some combat boots and a leather trench coat, but do not have the money.
