It seems odd having so many questions regarding preference on generalized situations. Cuz for me, there are factors that influence what things I enjoy doing or not doing, for instance in regards to socializing, the people I am around play a huge role, in whether I am really introverted or wildly expressing a sporatic array of thoughts. But anyways I got a 31. But I feel like I am better at reading people than most NT's are, at least I am good at reading Nt's they are simple. It think I study people too much. It's strange its like I can tell what people are basically thinking I just can't utilize that information in any kind of productive way. Though, i feel like I could advise someone else in how to act in a socially correct manner. It feels like those behavioral patterns just never develop for me.

Hmm.. telepathy, eh? Are you certain you know what they're actually thinking? I also think I have pretty good people-reading skills, but I've found it has very serious limitations. The problem with body language is that, yeah, it's very easy to "read", but very difficult to properly interpret.

In order to interpret correctly, you have to be just like them, which is impossible. I find it's much safer to not jump to conclusions about what they are actually thinking, not without confirmation from other sources, and multiple sources... I often jump to conclusions that are very egocentric and paranoid, and I later discover I was totally wrong. You're probably wrong more often than you'd believe.

What do you mean by “behavior patterns”? I’m assuming body language? How do you know you’re not giving off tones of body language?

I got 42.
What's strange is that every time I take this test, I try to be more "realistic" with my answers (eg,, check the "disagree" box rather than "strongly disagree" box) but every time it still comes out as 42. :?

PS: Anybody notice that this thread has been bumped from 7 years ago?

I took this 'AQ' test for the first time today and got a 40 'score'. ...Thanks for posting links to the other tests. Doing the 'AQ' got me interested in what other testings might be out there and how I would 'do' if I completed them.

I got a 44 on this test. I am definitely autistic but sometimes more autistic on days than others. Some days I appear pretty normal!

43 this time. My score keeps going up too! Normally, I think I would be happy about that. Again, I found a couple questions a bit vauge.

Sincerely,
Matthew

I scored a 29. All the tests I take place me on the brink. I display some of the symptoms of AS with extreme frequency. Other symptoms I don't have at all. I'm not even sure if I really have AS. I plan on getting a real diagnosis when I'm back home in May.
