Indeed, I wish A.S. awareness & information was more widespread 30 years ago, as , I've only just been diognosed, A lot of things in my life could've been so much better for me had I known earlier I have aspergers.

Whoa, I'm in awe! I have to say, I actually learned some things from this myself. I haven't really read a whole lot about AS, but I know this and that about it. There are a few things mentioned in the cartoon that I knew described me, but didn't know it was because of AS. Thanks for that.

I didn't know about the back-ground noise distraction. Just last night I was listening to a friend of mine speak, and he kept tapping his shoe covered foot on the floor. I kept looking down every time he did it and it was very distracting.

I didn't know about the facial recognition in unexpected places. I usually see all faces in a blur when I'm out shopping for instance.

I didn't know about the exhaustion in connection to Socializing. I always get beat in social groups, and despite seeking it, I get tired very quickly. This exhaustion usually vanishes when I come home. And in large crowds I'm exhausted and grumpy.

Wow! I didn't know my pathetic inablility to recognise people very well was because of AS :D you learn something new every day. I wonder what other parts of myself are actually AS related too, without me even knowing...

I'm surprised by this also. I've read about Prosopagnosia, but I later came across a similar (but rarer) condition that was very similar, and fit me exactly. I don't remember how to spell it, but it's a similar word to "prosopagnosia." It involves more a problem with recognition of faces, rather than an inability to process the face itself. I have no problem with facial features, but, for example, customers come into my store expecting me to remember them, but get insulted that I can't recognize them. I certainly might remember them, I might remember exactly what they bought and how much it cost. But looking at their face, I won't tie the information together. I actually had a customer get really, really offended when it took me a moment to recognize them- apparently I made a weird face while I was searching my memory. They thought I was making faces at them and threatened to get me fired ("Because I'm friends with the owner!") (That was a hard day.)

Still, if it's tied in with Asperger's, this all makes sense. I've got to read about the ties the two conditions have to each other now.

I really liked this. Like a couple people above me, this also helped me learn something about myself. I for one can listen to people better when I am not making eye contact with them too, and I did not realize that until I saw this.

This needs to be expanded and published. It's like a teen/adult version of "All cats have Asperger's". Loved both!

These are good. Made me smile, especially Weird and Wired. May have to get a T-Shirt with that on it.

Thank you. :D

OMG this is wonderful, it describes those of us with AS to a T, and your little fuzzy creature people are totally adorable! I love the page that describes our intense interests (I'm glad mine's not washing machines too!), and the lack of eye-contact; for the longest time I wondered why I was the only one I knew who couldn't look at people and talk or listen at the same time, it all makes sense now :D Well done, you've inspired me to try one of my own (I have quite a knack for drawing cartoon bunnies!)
