I'm not all that good with small talk if I don't feel like talking I prefer to just be lost in my thoughts. I don't like when people want to go on about things when I'm not in the mood for talking.

There was a girl at work who was a world-class small talker. She could talk at you for ten or fifteen minutes and not convey a single piece of useful information.

I listened to her talking at (and I do mean 'at') a colleague once and she went from 'hi, how are you' to the weather, to houses, to mattresses, and I think there was some sport stuff in there too. It was ridiculous and even my colleague who's definitely NT was getting bored!
