Hello, everyone. My name is Gabriel, I'm from Brazil, and I'm new in this forum. Arround January of this year, I've read a lot of information about Aspergers, and even went to a psychiatrist during a period that I was feeling really distant, different, anxious and even depressive.

Well, after the consult, the Doctor said I'm just fine, with just an "personality" that reminds of some characteristics of Aspergers. But on the other hand, I was diagnosed with an "light depression" (I didn't remember the exact words).

Anyway, I still feeling different, even with the medication. Falling asleep during class, constant change of mood, extreme distraction, difficulty with facial expression and expression of my feelings... My mother is constantly saying that it\'s just me complicating things, that there's nothing wrong with me.

I'd like for you to share with me your experience before an proper diagnosis of the syndrome: events that occurred, your feelings and the opinion from your doctors. You could also tell em what you think about my situation.

Hope you can share this, and also hope that I'm not being inappropriate. Sorry for any english errors.

Thank you, guys.

You should go see a psychologist that specializes in Autism Spectrum disorders. Other than that I don't have any suggestions.

Also, be careful, shrinks confuse AS (mild autism) and will tell you your AS is mild. The impact of your AS is not mild, I know.
