Well, if an NT had AS then they would be an aspie, not an NT, so the premise is not valid. I imagine they would try to adapt too as that is the human thing to do. Whether you are autistic or not does not change the need for other people in your life, and so everyone adapts to some degree to fit in better with those around them. It's not like the human race is made up of just two tribes: NT's and aspies. It's made up of a wide variety of individuals who have to sacrifice something about who they naturally are to fit in to certain situations. In that way, all human beings learn and adapt socially throughout their life, aspies and auties just have a greater degree of difficulty doing so.
