Are people with Asperger's homo sapiens?
They seem to be far more intellectually advanced than a human, but have much more basic social skills, almost like a different species.

We no longer are Homo sapiens. We are, in fact, our own species, Homo superior.

I thought you could tell by our eyebeams, telekinetic abilities, and extendable claws. :P

You got claws? Geez, I can't even grow my nails out without biting them.

Yes, we're Homo sapiens. We're just a different kind. You wouldn't call someone with albinism a different species just because they look different. Our minds are just a little different. And we're naturally gorgeous ;)

Diversity within a species is normal.

I mastered the art of teletransportation several parsecs ago. I always run into problems beaming to far reaching nebulas in our galaxy, but that's a different story.

I can't tell if the OP is serious or tongue in cheek...with that said, we are super heroes. Like all superheroes, we struggle to fit in, and are extraordinary. Also, I can fly.

We are all a part of the spectrum of human diversity.

The Neanderthal hypothesis is pseudoscience. There is no evidence that Autists have more (or less) Neanderthal DNA than anyone else.

Our advanced status is completely secret from NT society -no one outside this forum is meant to know of our powers. It's much easier to let the puny little humans think we're 'disabled' and let them carry on none the wiser. Why, just imagine the consequences if anyone were to find out! Anarchy in the streets! Madness! No, the world is simply not ready to know of our existence...

But while we're on the topic, I sometimes take the shape of a white tiger.
