Can adult autism be reversed by removing mercury ?

I've been reading a lot about the connection between autism and mercury and I believe it's true. I've heard of parents of autistic kids giving them mercury detoxification therapy and curing them of their autism or at least significantly improving their symptoms . I'm thinking about trying mercury detoxification but my concern is that I'm already in my mid 20's, is it possible my brain is already too damaged for mercury detoxification to have any positive effect on me ? Can autism not be reversed after a certain age ?

Autism is not caused by mercury, mercury poising and autism are nothing alike, statistics do not support a correlation between anything mercury related and autism, and chelation does not help.

No one has ever found a way to 'reverse' autism. Check the date on the paper's you've read.

Actually, if anyone says they have a cure for autism, just assume they're full of it.

Autism rates sky rocketed as soon as mercury was added to vaccines. Now less mercury is being used in vaccines and we're seeing a decline in young children with autism.

I'd have to support this.

what about the millions that received the vaccines why dont they all have autism? its like saying air causes autism because 100% of autistic's breath air. Im not saying injecting metals is a good thing but its not the cause of autism.

I've never had any vaccine nor have I eaten a lot of fish.

Next theory please?

BS. The mercury compound that was in vaccines was added in the 1930s, autism was distinguished as a separate diagnosis from schizophrenia in the 1960s. Autism rates couldn't have skyrocketed because autism wasn't even diagnosable until 2 or 3 decades later. Also, autism diagnostic rates are continuing to go up.

my theory is that people on the ASD spectrum are just much more sensitive to mercury than other people. We all carry Autism genes but I think that mercury is what accentuates them and makes our symptoms much worse. My dad is on the ASD spectrum but his symptoms are extremely mild and he's a math whiz. He grew up in a different country and never had a vaccine. I was born in another country too but I moved to the states when I was 2. My mom told me I started to talk at a real young age and I would talk a lot. But now I can't form a coherent sentence to save my life. I suck talking and I suck at math. My autism symptoms are pretty bad. How did I go from being a very talkative toddler to an almost mute adult ? I know I got all the standard vaccinations. I also have absolutely no trust in the government. It wouldn't surprise me if they purposely infected us with autism in hopes of dumbing down the population.

Do you honestly believe this "theory" of yours? Really now.

People who believe autism is caused by vaccines are nutcases. My brother got all the same vaccines(3 years apart in age) and he is the most social person I know.

I started talking about six months after I got the MMR vaccine. I didn't get the MMR vaccine until I was eight years old. I was an almost mute child before I got the MMR vaccine. The mercury in the MMR vaccine must have reversed my autism. I am a purrrty capable talker as an adult, after I got the MMR vaccine.

Yeah, they disproved that little 'theory' a long time ago, dude.

Secondly, autism isn't an infection. You can't 'catch' it.

But if you insist, you could always swallow a magnet and hope all of the heavy metals cling to it. I won't stop you.

Have you ever eaten a fish in your life? What about while pregnant or breast feeding? What about feeding any tuna fish to a small child?

That's more mercury than those vaccines you are obsessing about, even when thiomersal was used (and in more dangerous forms). And that's not me trying to argue not to eat fish, though people should be aware that with how we're treating the world, fish are getting heavy metal poisoning.

Ever hear the phrase "Correlation is not causation"? I also question your statement about autism being on the decline. If anything, the rates of diagnosis are on the increase due to increased public awareness of what it actually is.
