What a f*cking tool. Even NT's don't post that sort of sh*t in their forums.

i explained that in a post like right underneath it. i did not mean it the way it sounds. it was intended to be a compliment saying all girls are pretty.

Oh, I get you now. Sorry.

Not all of us.

There are two ways to read that, but I DID say:

if I am any indication of the normal AS male

You can take it both ways. I understood point 2, but wanted to express
that some of us can be real oddballs - just like anyone else.

Actually after I calmed down I realised that this might be a cool idea.

A picture thread for aspie guys, and one for aspie ladies. In the mens and Womans forum.

Actually, I think aspie women do have a "look" (as do perhaps the men, but sometimes I notice it more in the women, at least judging from the pictures I've seen here). They have a sort of spooked, disconnected look to them, like they were just startled.

I think the one gender only picture threads are a neat idea, in their respective forums.

And I think the men and women's discussions should be members-only readable.

The Dating Forum has a whole thread consisting of photos of members mostly the guys so why be so repetitive.

It would be for same-gender comments only.

Well I have to admit all the Aspie women I have met in person have the same hairstyle, long and straight with nothing done to it. I have short hair though cut like Harry Potter (2nd or 3rd movie) & have a hairgel fetish.

None of them, myself included, seem to have any fashion sense for a female. But then again all of the AS guys I've ever met all look the same too. They all have the blank stare, Neanderthral forehead and a polo shirt with the top button fasten.

The Aspie women of my acquaintance (and me I think) look kind of young - I don't mean unlined faces but definitely not like most women the same age. To say it is childlike is somehow to belittle us, but it's obvious that we don't fit the norms generally speaking. Maybe an NT would be able to describe it better?

I think its because the majority of us female Aspies are unmarried and childless hence we do not have the main things in life that cause wrinkles and grey hair. Plus many of us are light sensitive so don't get out in the sun as much. Yet another reason to look younger.

That's me... I have long hair because I could never deal with going to get it cut/styled regularly.

In guys' pictures I've noticed the blank stare. I call it the wildman aspie gaze.

Yeah, my father and others accused me of staring like Rasputin.

Can't stand having someone I don't love cut my hair - and even then
I demand that it be done with quickly. I just do it myself now. Funny,
because I love to do things with other's hair.

A lot of sleep, and avoiding the sun (as well as worries) keeps
the face unlined. Not smiling much helps too.

YES to looking sort of "spooky." Fairly recently, for example, a man at a grocery store who was quite apparently ret*d asked me, genuinely, "Are you real?" Since his question was sincere I answered. I told him that I am real since I am not imaginary. He totally understood my answer! Refreshing. I've had children ask if I were real too.

I've had my feeling hurt though....I heard a couple say something mean about me in the public library when they thought I could not hear. She called me a phantom. I cried outside later. But, admittedly, I might look a little possessed.

Children always seem so fascinated by me. I mean, they just stare and stare. I kind of like it - they can sense that I just don't belong.
