Do you think that advertisments are deliberately made to be annoying so that you remember them? Or maybe its the flashing lights, tinny music, and my lack of social comprehension, and the fact that you cant predict whats next that annoys me. I think its the former, the latter statement is a side effect.

They are made so people will remember them and to get peoples attention. One of the advertisements kept screeming HELP ME! it was a fish tied to a rope dangling over water :? ... thats when I decided to keep the volume off when I am on WP.

I dislike the flashing ones because m computer can't handle them for some reason and they knock me offline :?. I usually just try to ignore the others, music is down, page is scrolled to were i cannot see them, but still whenever I get a flashing one I will be kicked off..

I don't think they are annoying. I liked the Aqua Teen Hunger Force billboard, and I don't see why people in Boston thought it was a bomb.

There was an advertisement company in New Zealand that did flicks for AMI Insurance and Burger King. Stolen Stuff and eggs... Bloody funny stuff.
Anyone from New Zealand probably knows what I'm on about.
As for everyone else: Advertisements have a few exceptional flicks. And by exceptional, I mean anything decent is considered an exception.

Krex, what anime is WAHA from again? Azumanga Daioh?

I think they're marketed to NT's who can actually see them.

I can't see something if there is something flashing or blinking - too much stimuli. I also have to remove the offending image, so the advertiser definitely isn't getting my attention (or money)
