Mine is actually over 70 points between some subests (overall VIQ > PIQ is still over 60). No joke. Ranging from quasi-retard to .001% genius.

Does anyone have this, and if so, what would the likely symptoms be caused by this alone? I think it may help explain why I am always full of tension and/or anger for periods or else in deep depression. If so, would working to narrow the gap help these symptoms?

I have a 52 point gap between my VRI and PRI.

My highest sub-test score was "Similarities," which is a measure of your ability to reason verbally. I hit the ceiling with a 19.

My lowest sub-test was "Matrix Reasoning," which is a measure of your ability to reason non-verbally. I scored a 5 on that test.

As for what symptoms might be caused by this, that question is a tad too broad for me to answer. You're probably angry/frustrated because non-verbal tasks tax your brain's energy reserves to a great extend, making you tired. At least, that's how it is with me. BTW, congratulations on being the first person I've met with a VRI > PRI gap bigger than mine.

If you're curious, the rest of my scores are as follows:

Quote:
WISC-IV

VRI: 141
Similarities: 19
Vocabulary: 16
Information: 16
Comprehension: 18

PRI: 84
Block Design: 8
Matrix Reasoning: 5
Visual Puzzles: 6
Figure Weights: 8

Working Memory: 77
Digit Span: 6
Arithmetic: 6

Processing Speed: 105
Coding: 12
Symbol Search: 10

FSIQ: 104
GAI: 112

You might be able to improve your score. I can't improve mine. My brain is busted.

Not that insane for me, but when I was a kid it was apparently huge enough for the tester to go to his professors for advice, wondering whether he had made a mistake.

Mine was supposedly 130/80, it could have been even lower PIQ or higher VIQ, though, I just remember that off the top of my head. Yay NVLD.

I do m,y verbal iq is around the 120 area while my spatial iq is around 80-90 lol. I seriously draw art a 3rd grade level and suck at reading graphs. My depth perception is horrible, and I suck at folding clothes and doing practical stuff.
