Yes, I felt bad leaving my cat here to go out with my friends for a few hours. The fireworks were just starting and he was hiding under the chair. When I got home it was just after midnight and there were so many explosions... I found him behind the bed nearly catatonic! I moved him and he just stayed where I put him, with shock in his eyes. I put on some music and sang to him and he slowly came back to reality... Now he is playing with his mouse. : ) And I should have been in bed hours ago! Too much caffeine to stay up until midnight, and now I can't sleep.
I was singing to my cats as well.
And had to hold them a lot, but I was at home with the fireworks, as I have no friends to go out with.
My cat, who looks very similar to yours, is a "he" too.
His name is Nemo.
He weights about 7 kilo.
But he has the white hair not close to the arms, but a little bit on the chest, and a bit longer white hair in the ears.
But the face is so similar and the arms.
Now he is asleep.
Best wishes for your cat as well.
