Then I guess you prefer the 70's and 80's music videos like me? Today, music videos tend to be stressful and hectic.

Oh, I absolutely dwell on things for long periods of time. For example, I've been fascinated with Wreck-It Ralph ever since I saw back in early November, and I also go thru these "spurts" where my other interests will come to the forefront, such as My Little Pony, Calico Critters, or Sterling Holloway.

I also like to play my favorite songs over and over....one weekend, I liked the song "Sugar Rush" from the Wreck-It Ralph soundtrack, the next week, I played The Four Tops' "Loco in Acapulco" over and over again, and I currently have "Judy in Disguise" by John Fred and His Playboy Band on repeat. :D

I also tend to dwell on not-so-positive things, too, like other people have mentioned. I sometimes dwell on mistakes I've made and beat myself up for them emotionally, or I dwell on how certain people have wronged me recently or in the past. What can be irritating is that these bad feelings seem to "insert" themselves in mind at the most random times. I could be feeling reasonably okay one minute and the next, I'm recalling how my stepmother once dropped a not-so-subtle hint that she thought I was fat, and get all unhappy about that. Could that be what's called "intrusive thoughts?" Idk....

....Anyhoo, yes, I do tend to dwell on things. :D

I'm starting to get obsessed with Spyro once again since they released skylanders although I beat skylanders giants within a week with the 3 characters I'm anticipating the release of the series 2 spyro. My gnarly tree rex is maxxed and cynder and jet vac are getting there.

Even though I don't know the original, I have to say it was well played, nice tapping.

I'm currently in a phase where I tend to listen to the same song(s) over and over and over and over and over and... over.

Due to a chat with someone (who I know from another forum) with the topic "what do you think, how would someone on drugs react to this and that?" (I actually have no idea how we even got to that topic), I dug out a F-Zero X and a F-Zero GX gameplay video (response from other person on the gameplay videos was: "WTF! I'm so sure it will end in a seizure!") and (since the person has a similar taste in music), I then started to talk about how much better the FZX OST is compared to the GX OST and how it fit that mood of the 30-people death race much better.
Right now, I'm pretty much listening to this song in a loop:

After a comparison with the GX OST, the person agreed that the X OST is better and full of energy.
I can't wait until I will have my guitar skills polished enough so I can keep up with the rythm guitar of that song. :D
Nintendo made some awesome games back then (and some of the moderns are good too, but since the Nintendo logo turned clinic white, the games lack something...) - I'm just a bit angry I didn't get a F-Zero sequel for Wii, would have had potential on that console.

Ah, railshooter, a classic genre!
Reminds me of my childhood, I used to play Lylat Wars on N64 with a passion. :D

For your information:
I'm now dwelling on my childhood memories, back in the days when I still had my CRT-TV (I have my LCD TV since 2 years now I think, feels like yesterday that I had my old TV here in my room though). I just regret I was never able to do this, looks like the scene changes in "That 70s Show". I just had one magnet and other than that I was told I was not supposed to do so because it could kill the TV or screen.

I could also go to the ocean and watch the waves roll in for hours as I gaze upon the horizon.

This so accurately describes me as well :D
When I watch a movie that I like, I will have a "spurt" about that movie's universe and characters, often mixing them with other ones. I then "render" or cinematically view scenarios in my mind.
I also hate being reminded of embarrassing or uncomfortable situations :?

I dwell on things that involve my topics of interest and when someone wrongs either someone I care about (I tend to be very loyal to the few friends I do have) or me myself. While I still hold onto things for years my friends and family move on, exhausted by my persistence regarding certain things.

Yes I do this with things good and bad.

Good things when I see a TV show I fancy I tend to think about it alot like A country practice which is my all time favourite show I can watch it over and over same with The Girl from tomorrow, favourite songs I can listen to a lot as well.

Bad things if someone says and does things that upset me I tend to stew over it for a long time I find it hard to forgive, Like a case worker I had who was all nice as anything but then I found out she was writing things about me in my files I have never forgiven her for that.

All aspies develop obsessive interests it's part of having asperger's, if someone didn't they wouldn't be an aspie or if they were never the less on the spectrum they would have PDD-nos. Do you mean obsessive thinking over situations for a long period of time, as in how other people have replied? If so then yes I do also.
Someone else commented about movies they like. I also do this. I will over think about it long after it's finished and replay it in my mind and sometimes write about it. I imagine myself in the movie or as a character.
Usually though for me it's to do with people. Ill do something or ill have said something and someone will give me a look of dissatisfaction. The same person is fine with me though and never actually makes an issue over it. I however will over analyse it and replay it in my head for not always but sometimes years trying to comprehend what I might have done. It will pop up randomly and keep me up at night for hours. Lots of trivial things really, I can often become to concerned about nothing. On other occasions it will be a social mistake, being made aware of offending someone, being hurt by someone is a big one, a situation that happened years ago lol. I think a lot of aspies do this it's one of the traits. We find it very difficult to let things go even if it is just internal obsessive thinking which it usually is. Although internalising can be the most stressful.
