I'm really REALLY fed up with the way they keep taking the piss out of our name, it's not "ass burgers" for god sake, it's not our fault the man who discovered it had a name that could be easily manipulated by douchebag trolls. I'm also sick of the way people keep calling it a "disease" it's not a freaking disease, there is nothing wrong with us, we are not sick! I don't put much stock in idiocy of this nature, but I am concerned with the number of mindless idiots who will stumble onto this page and think it's true. We get enough misrepresentation as it is, there's no need for cruel, mindless troglodytes to go around slandering us even more. The article is also an inherent contradiction: first it goes on about how "Asperger's isn't real" but later talks about how "Hitler and a bunch of other really bad people from history had it" make up your mind you brainless twerp. It makes me unbelievably sad to think that there are still people in the world who are this closed minded and belligerent. My dad was right, if we ever meet a race of intelligent humanoid aliens the first damn thing we're going to do is shoot them. Humans are a horrible race.

That kind of site only reflects my daily experience concerning NT ignorant attitudes anyway though ie it's not telling me anything I don't already know about what a lot of them are like. I already know the nature of the beast in other words and hence I generally avoid them so in my opinion I have solved the problem. To keep mixing with/seeking out the opinions of people like that and be continually upset about how they act is like continually banging your head against a brick wall and expecting it not to hurt each time.

It is always easier to pick on the weak.

Why would you want to do that? Dogs and babies have nothing to do with this do they?
And I didn't think that cartoon of a cartoon person hitting a (presumed) baby in a cartoon pram was funny either. Just as horrible as that article.

It is a hyperbolic metaphor. No one actually intends to punch babies (fortunately)

And I'm sure NT people would never assume that anyone here really wants to punch babies.

Unfortunately, plenty of people in the UK do punch and murder babies - it's very common.

Often it's stepfathers who do it - the new boyfriends of women too weak to see that their baby's safety is more important
than having a partner!

Have any off you read Wikipedia article on ED? Quite amusing, you can think of these two as twin opposites.

The original owner did try to shut ED down, but a group of trolls started spamming her and revived the site. ever heard of Anonymous?

Everyone deserves the freedom of speech, no-one however, can justify abusing it.

Encyclopedia Dramatica is full of overweigjt nerds who think they're witty and funny and write down careless opinions on any given topic. Ignore it, because no matter who you are on this forum, you still outrank the fools who live on that ridiculous website.

It's a rip-off of another one I read somewhere (Uncyclopedia maybe) but theirs was funny, this one is lame.

I did not click that link. I'm sure I skimmed the article once before and that site, besides just that page, has to be the most unpleasant writing in all of troll fiction. But all efforts to have the site to be taken off have been blasted by NT's using "Political correctness" as a scapegoat. Besides, just because somebody can be anonymous doesn't mean they shouldn't have justice.

Being able to read the ED page on the Assburgers and laugh was a sign on how far I'd come as a person ever since I got diagnosed back in middle school.

The page is funny because it contains a lot of uncomfortable truths, especially regarding self-diagnosers and ASD communities on the internet in general.

Not even gonna bother reading it because it's freaking Encyclopedia Dramatica, guys. The whole point is to mock and ridicule people in order to provoke a reaction.

I'm also a bit disappointed how many of you seem to be in favor of limiting one of our most essential rights on the basis of a few trolls.
