That's interesting - however it would also suggest that there is a higher rate of Autism in countries with lower levels of access to health care, and within lower income families for reasons of affordability of folic acid. It also then opens the debate as to whether ethnicity is also a factor. Having a quick poke around a few studies, it does seem that there is a trend which indicates that Caucasian males are at highest risk, with African females making up the other end of the scale. I think that the conclusion that can be (albeit very rapidly) drawn from this is that in relation to folic acid, and being that there are also direct correlation between race and wealth in both the global village and individual countries, is that if the rich white folks
didn't take folic acid, there would be a whole lot more aspies around.
