still have the tubes-still collect water in my ear? I've always been told just point your ears down......nope?
I get more sinus infections now, my ears never let much out, and now they don't let much in now ?

I know I had at least a couple of ear infections as a child, but I don't think it was a regular occurence. I did have the tubes put in, though... but that was apparently for fluid behind the ear drum.

I had 4 that I can remember (I don't know if that's a lot) and then a whole lot of swimmers ear. I was big on swimming and I never learned my lesson.

I got them really bad when I was younger because I never acted like anything was bothering me. It took in till I got flu symptoms for my mom to notice. The doctor said it caused a little hearing loss in my left ear, but not enough to affect me. It's also why I have a speech impediment and why I couldn't be understood when I was younger since I couldn't hear how to pronounce stuff.

I wonder... how is ear infection related to autism?

I remember I had to get tubes because my ears were constantly hurting (the cause was from smoke, doesn't matter the kind of smoke, my ears will react badly to smoke), causing in having sleepless nights and being partly deaf.

Oh yes, I definitely had to get tubes as a young child. I don't know or remember why, though. I had no idea that this was common for people with autism. How common is it?

Lots and lots, and I never let my parents know. First thing they knew was when my eardrums burst and blood & pus was oozing out of my ears.

I had a lot of them as a child. They were often really bad and resulted in punctured eardrums several times.

Yep and it made me have hearing loss and made me speech delayed. I also wonder if it caused me to have other AS symptoms. But I stopped having ear infections maybe around age 3. I last had one when I was five or four. I also had tubes put in and bam I could hear again but I still had problems with my development and I would get over stimulated by noise.
