Pretty often, yes. I wouldn't say it's strictly an Aspie thing, though I hear it might be something Aspies/Auties do more often on average than NTs.

I daydream to excess. For me it's Asperger's coupled with Nonverbal Learning Disorder. When I'm not completely daydreaming, I'm web surfing and daydreaming. That's why I keep my lifestyle as simplistic as possible. One of my favorite things to do is go for really long walks where there's no people, no traffic and become totally absorbed as I halfway watch the scenery pass by. Only prob is, as you get older, it causes time to zoom past you faster and faster, lake a timelapse video of a rapid succession sunrises and sunsets.

Yes! Uncontrollably, for hours. I'm 48 now and have done this since I was a kid. I wish I could control it.

Absolutely! I usually daydream when I am bored at school or work.

I daydream all the time. It's not just an Aspie thing, though we tend to do it more often.

I daydream a lot. I take my MP3 player and pace around the house or bounce on my yoga ball while listening to music. I don't know if I daydream to stem or just to live in a fantasy world because it's next to imposable to socialize in the real world. I also use my daydream world to do computation and simulations on invention that I dream up or to solve problems that apply to the real world.

IHAQ: As an aspie. Do any of you use your daydream world for your imaginary friends as a way to make up for the lack of friends you have in the real world?
