I always feel better at night. I always feel grumpy in the morning. When I was younger, I could wake up in the morning easily, but that changed in middle school. Now I can stay up until 2-3 am no problem, but can't get up at 6-7 am no matter how much sleep I had the night before.

Dark, less people awake, quiet, and less cars on the streets = Perfect autistic environment.

I like early mornings too when most people haven't woke up. Any time after that makes me grumpy and depressed.

I generally feel better in the morning (doesn't mean I always feel well in the morning or always feel bad at night though). I think for me that's because I get tired as the day goes by. Tired and drained and the more time I have to think about things (which I do throughout the day) the more anxious I get.

I'm a night owl. I'm always awake until sunrise and sleep during the day. My bedroom has heavy black out curtains and I have white noise playing to mask any outside sounds.

I am most certainly a night person. I get along much better staying up at night with a couple hours of sleep in the morning. (I am great staying up to about 8-9:00 am then sleeping for 3-5 hours)

However if I've had a long stressful day, I just need to go home and unwind for the night, but while unwinding I am not always the nicest person...

I am happiest at night, there are no other people to bother me; the people at Safeway know me, I am the only one who goes grocery shopping at 3:00am, and there is no one in my way to harrass me or make me nervous either!

I put night, but it's technically from 10 PM to 4 AM instead of 6 to 12...

My natural inclination is to be a night owl, but I actually feel better in the morning when I can bring myself to get up that early. It just feels so refreshing. Although as alakazaam said:

^ The reason I like to go for walks at night.

morning a couple hours after I have woken up and showered/eaten seems to be best time. there isn't much in the way of variation throughout the day for me though.

I work best between the hours of 22:00 and 02:00, but actually feeling good depends on the current situation.

The poll excludes 1200-0600, which is when I am at my best.

For those of you who are on medication, do you think that you're medication wearing off at a certain time of day could explain why you feel better during the morning or night?

Not really. If anything, meds make me more active during the day.

I always do my best work at night around 8-12pm. I've always had a hard time getting up in the morning if it's by an alarm clock. If I get up myself I don't have as many issues. I do like mornings somewhat though if there's no one else around, but if the rest of the family's around then not so much because I wake up to a bunch of noise that sets a bad mood for the rest of the day. At night I'm usually the only one up I can watch what I want on tv without having to worry about it being stolen from me and just generally relax and unwind.
